The main basis of this post is to get an overall opinion on the content, and to see if I have any glaring fluff inconsistencies. Thanks guys!

The origins of the Scions of the Twins:

A space faring crusade chapter previously known as The Unfettered Will.

Chapter Master of the Unfettered Will - Tumrel

After a victorious battle with the Angels of Ecstasy chapter master Tumrel (an avid xenos trophy hunter), took
a tainted Eldar scepter from the defeated Slaaneshi sorcerer. However, all other tainted artifacts were turned
into the inquisition.

Later on, after several defeats from the black legion and various other traitor chapters, The Unfettered Will is
at roughly 50% strength.

Tumrel is quickly becoming stressed at the health of his chapter. Sensing weakness in the chapter master
Slaanesh channeled his ruinous powers into the still corrupted rod.

Several decades pass and Tumrel still has not been able to recover his chapters lost strength. Slaanesh then
made his move. He tempted Tumrel with mumbling of being able to perfect his chapters gene-seed as long
as he gives his allegiance and preforms a dark ritual on the seed.

For several years now, the Chief Librarian Phobos and his twin brother First Captain Deimos have noticed changes
in their commander, and thus have kept a close eye on him. Luckily for the chapter, before Tumrel was able to begin the
ritual the brothers stormed into his chamber to stop him.

Although they found it difficult to end their lord's life, once they realized the monster that he had become,
the combined physical might of Deimos and the psychic mastery of Phobos, they were able to kill Turmrel.

The chapter was disgraced. Their gene-seed was tested for mutation, and due to the actions of the brothers, came back negative. Additionally all of
Tumrel's trophies were swiftly destroyed by the Inquisition.

The chapter was not declared traitors, but they were excommunicated from the church and were given a crusade of repentance
for the action of their previous chapter master. Additionally, they changed their chapters name due to the shame of having
their previous chapter master fall to chaos.

As such the chapter was re-named in honor of the saviors of the chapter, the new chapter master Phobos, and his twin brother Deimos.

Also is it possible to have your chief librarian become the chapter master? I understand that this does not follow the codex astartes but who does 100% these days.

The Blood Ravens also have librarians as chapter masters, and the Iron Hands' leaders are Captain, Techmarine and Chaplain all in one, so a librarian as Chapter Master would not be a problem. He might have to give up being chief librarian though, as I imagine having both those duties at the same time would be too busy.

It's perfectly fine to have a chief librarian as chapter master, bit of hard work, but its been done before.
