I am stumped as to how on earth I am supposed to hold the wings on a hellturkey in place while the plastic glue sets. So I turn to my fellow modellers on DakkaDakka for advice. How can I do this, other than holding the parts in place by hand for hours?

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

I have never put one of these together, so take this as general advice.

Leave a few spots clear of plastic glue and put super glue there as well.

Use the plastic glue as you are supposed to - put it on both edges and let it sit without touching the pieces together, wait for them to activate/dry a little, then jam them together.

You can also give up on plastic glue altogether and use a 2 part epoxy - it is horrid to work with, but the have 90 second araldite which will never let go if you are quick enough.

Pinning can be used to provide support, as can "struts" which are just like wide plastic pins - may not be relevant here, as I don't know the model. In that spirit, obviously only do one wing at a time.

Elastic bands, clamps, other kinds of support should be used for tricky joints, even on smaller models.
