No LoWs will be allowed at an upcoming tournament. Maximum alotments are two formations or one CAD and one formation. You can have a fortification.

PRIMARY CAD

2x Autarch: bike, fusion, lance, banshee mask

2x 5 Jet bikes: shuriken cannons
4x 5 Jet bikes: scatterlasers

2x Hemlock: heavy d-scythes

CRIMSON DEATH

1x Crimson Hunter Exarch: starcannons
2x Crimson Hunter: bright lances

TOTAL: 1850

I feel this list covers most bases. This list has no LoWs and only two detachments to ensure that it is tournament legal at most venues and in particular mine. The list pumps out a slew of AP2 shots plus the psychic shrieks. I've 2 Hemlocks and 12 S8 Ap2/1 shots plus all the S6 Ap2 and a Psychic Shriek or two when my flyers arrive. I could take down even adamantine lance IKs (possibly even two in one turn). And the boys arrive turn two.

shots per turn:
80 scatterlaser shots
30 shuriken shots (want the AP2)
4 heavy d blasts
4 bright lance shots
3 pulse laser shots
2 starcannon shots
autrchs can get into cc or go after vehicles/transports as well. I want the extra autarch in case he targets one to eliminate my reserve bonus.

It has its weaknesses ... obviously a smart oppomnent will go after my bikes first and try to eliminate the troops. There really are no better targets the first two turns anyway so I might be jinking/hiding a bit. It does have five flyers though that can cause some problems for sure.

Anyway to improve the list (I might add that I feel this list is competitive but not over-the-top at all).

Like it, but find star cannons unnecessary. Brightlances are still the best to have, even if you already have 2.

Wrote a VERY similar list called EldAIR. I went double CAD to get some MSU ObSec spam bikes. So I only had 20 gun bikes but 15 others in 5 units for a total of 9 JB units. The difference also allowed me to get a Phoenix Gem on one Autarch.

But otherwise literally identical, I think it is very strong. To be honest I think it is just about the only TAC list that has a favourable match up against 3+ Wraithknights.

Starcannons are better against AV10-11 than lances and give extra shots for those precisions. Though BLs are better against Wraithknights which you're unlikely to see with no LoW allowed.Should be more interesting to play than normal Eldar and will surprise people. A lot of armies have very light AA these days and rely on winning the ground battle and ignoring the air. Against this you simply can't do that.

So I've no changes to suggest and just left with that old adage about great minds

Been thinking about skitarii (really REALLY love the models, and though I am hardcore anti imperial, this would give me a chance to use them and assassins which I love) and lists like this I predict seeing is why I am considering anti-air crab bots. Eldair is certainly much stronger in this book, and though crimson death is nasty in it's own right, hemlocks left alone can get out of hand very quickly.

I am exactly one of those people you are talking about FLingitNow, someone who normally ignores air units. Don't think I can do it any longer. Between these kinds of eldar lists and flyrant spam, "ignoring air" is really just not a viable strat anymore.

Armies I play:

-2500 pts
Mechanicus -1850 pts

I had two Hunters already modeled with bright lances - which really are good as the list has little enough high strength weaponry. However when there are no LoWs I still need to worry about IKs and DKs and Riptides. AP2 handles some of those units nicely but BLs should help. I like the star cannons for Meq and Teq though. Against Gargantuan creatures and super heavies any list will have some problems. Against termies star cannons certainly shine. Also against most MCs.

I like the list because there are tournaments that have estrictions but I don't feel like this list suffers much from them. Granted - nine ObSec is better than six but meh. And the phoenicx gem when I used it failed me so many times, lol. It looks better on paper than on the table methinks but if it works for you ... well certainly use it.

You can longer count on decent positioning, durable units and getting 6s to beat heavy flying lists. You cannot ignore crimson hunters ... they will reposition 90 degrees and kill you. However, i expect to see a lot of AA in lits so redundancy is a necessity now. Two flyers do not cut it anymore. Go big or go home.

I don't think enough people have cottoned on yet to how good autarchs are against a variety of targets with threat bloody banshee masks. I think once you face them a few times you learn how effective that 110 point unit is. It can take on a lot of different targets. Keeping them alive though is another matter entirely. You really need to play them properly.

Personally I like the star cannons better on the crimson hunters. It makes jinking less painful, and it makes you more efficient at killing Flyrants. That's not necessary if you guys play by the ruling that blasts can hit FMCs, since the Hemlocks will keep them jinking (or dead) the entire game on their own in that case. It's funny that this is considered a 'light' psyker army for Eldar, when two Lvl 2s is pretty much maxed out for most armies. I like that, actually.

Nonsense. The Battle Company box is perfect for filling out your ranks of aspect warriors with a large contingent from the Screaming Baldies shrine.

My list uses 2 CADs and a Formation so not legal in your Tournament. The Phoenix gem I'm not sold on but if it get deny my opponent StW one game in 4 then I'm happy.

I think the only AA that is a threat to this list is intercepting AA. You'll just kill any non-intercepting AA when you arrive. So realistically what is that? Dunecrawlers and FBSCs. The Dunecrawlers will be in 1 unit costing at least 375 points, this means they make 1 of your flyers jink before you kill them and a list containing them probably sits mid tables as it is 375 points down vs Necrons, Tau, Gravstar, AdLance, ThunderKnightstar etc. FBSC causes you more problems as it will probably kill 2 flyers even if you jink. So I expect they might turn up more if this EldAIR style list becomes more popular.

Against it you need to deal with the Broadsides first. You need to pump al the S6 you can into them. Consider even trying to hold the Flyers in reserve an extra turn so you can try to engage the Broadsides with the Autarchs to shut them down. In fact I'm wondering if more CannonBikes would be better as the Ap2 makes a bigger difference against your bad matchup.
