Hey All,

I have been playing around with rebel list ideas mostly because I like the A-Wing... I know, it's not a great ship, and mostly is just a fly on the wall. Anyway, please have a look and let me know what you think.

Tycho Celchu
- Autothrusters
- A-Wing Test Pilot
- Expert Handling
- Veteran Instincts
- Chardaan Refit

Airen Cracken
- Squad Leader

Gold Squadron Y-Wing
- BTL - A4
- Iron Cannon
- R3-A2

Z-95 Headhunter
Z-95 Headhunter

Total List Points - 99

The basic idea with this list lays with the Z's and Gold Squadron Pilot. Laying on stress and pounding away with Z-95s boosted by Cracken. I have the option with Cracken to bolster 2 ships or take something for himself and still bolster the Y-Wing in that critcal moment where it having a target lock and focus on the right ship can matter. I like Tycho and I love A-Wings. I feel like he can be the fly in the ointment of arc dodgers since I can boost and barrel roll him in a turn. He's PS 10 which I like, but I was considering to find a way to give him PTL on top of expert Handling to give him 3 actions a turn... but then he's only an 8, which is marginal in the current meta at best. Basically the list is jousters with an arc dodger, he's not AS powerful as a Fel or other Interceptor, but I think he can be a big enough pain that people try to deal with him. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

You have Tycho without PTL. This is a mistake.

Your other big problem is that you have a bunch of 2-dice guns but no real damage threat. Once the y-wing goes down (and it will be a priority target) you're going to struggle to break through the green dice on tough targets like Corran/Fel/etc.

I was going to type you a long response, but Peregrine beat me to it with his short but succinct reply.
There's nothing to be afraid of in this list. No offensive firepower

Tycho
Outmaneuver, PtL, Autothrusters, A-wing test pilot, if you're really going to use him, I'd almost consider taking some missiles which would make him grossly overpriced, but might give you that one shot that kills a ship

What about this modification:

Tycho Celchu
- Experimental Interface
- A-Wing Test Pilot
- Daredevil
- Push the Limit
- Chardaan Refit

Airen Cracken

Bandit Z-95
Bandit Z-95
Bandit Z-95
Bandit Z-95

I understand that 2 primary weapon isn't great, but when you swarm it is slightly better. I've never run a Rebel list and although I feel my Imperial list is stronger, I really want to run something slightly different.

Tycho is going to wrack up stress pretty quickly, but I figure he'll be hard to pin down without a turret, and with modifications to the Phantom I'm banking on less turreted ships.. which is probably a bad idea, but oh well. I wanted autothrusters, but the ability to take 3 actions every turn including a 1 hard is nice I feel.

Who is Airen Cracken supporting in these lists? He can't keep up with Tycho, and a free action is not super beneficial to a Bandit Z-95 (though it's moderately useful for a stress hog).

No, it's completely useless. The y-wing will be stressed as soon as combat begins, and once you're stressed you can't get the free action from Cracken.
