Sounds like a reasonable assessment. A lot of people, myself included, love the fluff of the 30k era, and playing what appears to be a more balanced version of 40k is always great. However, you better like space marines otherwise 30k is kinda disappointing.
Current fantasy doesn't sell well for two reasons. First, it costs waaaay to much to get a reasonable sized army, and even then no one wants to paint 100 similar empire halberdiers. Second, a lot of fantasy fans already have all the stuff they want or field, so there isn't really a reason to buy very much new stuff, especially since fantasy is more balanced than 40k, so there are no must buy riptide/wraith knight realeases.
