So after a couple of year hiatus, I'm coming back to Warmachine with my old Cygnar. I'll list what I have
PStryker
Grenadier
Hunter
Hunter
Ironclad
Charger
Lancer
10 Trenchers
10 Long Gunners
What can I do to make the most effective use of these models? And what models should I look into getting next? I'm open to using any/all of the warcasters so that shouldn't be an issue.

Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

You have too many warjacks and not enough troops to make a really effective list with that. Though it is great for lower level games and getting back in the groove playing.

As for where to go, I always recommend that people choose a caster first and then build from there.

That said, there are a handful of things pretty most Cygnar casters like

Squire
Stormwall
gun mages of any sort
Boomhowlers
Journeyman warcaster
Stormcallers (great for 1 point fillers)
Either Eiryss
Gorman
Aiyana and Holt

I assume this is stuff from Mk1? Make sure you get the up to date rules before you get too far ahead of yourself.

As already mentioned you have way too many Warjacks and not enough units and support solos - it doesn't help that Trenchers are one of the most niche units in the game and Long Gunners aren't far behind. pStryker could use the Lancer and the Ironclad (better if it was Rowdy), and you could have Gun Mages or a Journeyman run a Hunter but there is no way any Cygnar caster wants all those jacks. I could see some lists which might run 2 Hunters and a Lancer at most.

I would grab Squire and Journeyman to start with, since they are cheap solos which can easily slot in. If I had to pick a single unit to get I would grab Nyss since they work in most lists (Gun Mages require a bit of support to really shine). After that it really depends on which caster you want to run.

Thanks for all the help guys, I just want to say that I'm quite aware that I have too many warjacks right now. The only units that i mentioned that I bought myself were pstryker, the ironclad, lancer, and charger. Everything else was stuff that was given to me by some very kind friends of mine at my gaming store to help me get into the game. Now, keeping in mind the advice I got from you guys, and some help from some more experienced players at the gaming store I go to, I've bought the following

-All of the Haley variants
-Stryker2
-Journeyman Warcaster
-Squire
-Ol' Rowdy
-Stormwall
-Arcante Tempest Gun Mages +UA
-Gorman Di Wulf
-Long Gunner UA
-Trencher UA
I can't thank you guys enough for the advice you gave, it's been a serious help in determining what to get.
