So here is my list for the Killadelphia event. There may be others like it but this one is mine : )
HQ celestine
HQ 2 priests, one with litanies all with mauls, one is warlord
Troops 20 sisters, 2 melta guns
Troops 20 sisters, 1 melta gun, 1 vet sargent
Troops 5 sisters, 2 meltas rhino
Troops 5 sisters, 2 meltas rhino
Heavy exorcist
Heavy exorcist
Heavy exorcist
Fort aegis with lascannon
HQ biker chaptermaster (bike, artificer armor, fist, shield eternal, whitescars!)
Troops 5 scouts with bolters
Heavy Thunderfire cannon
If you are unfamiliar with the event, here is the link to their site on which all of the missions are freely available. I am not interested in hearing "flyrants will kill you" or stuff like that... BUT....
What I am interested in... is what secondaries from their list of secondaries would you choose vs this and which ones look like they will be toughest for this list to achieve.
http://www.killadelphiaopen.com/ Link!
The secondaries are in their mission packet which you can download from their drop box.

Did you listen to the recent Independent Characters?
They said a preferred method is to take Dominions and Meltas.
That is 4 Melta Guns, 1 Combi Melt and a MultiMelta. That can be Scouted, Outflanked. These will Bust tanks and faces.
S8, AP1, Melta, ignores cover.
Since you are taking SM, you could take Flesh Tearers and buy up to 6 Drop Pods. If you put 3 Dominion and 2 Troops in pods then you could drop 15 Melta Shots Turn 1.
Also that gives you access to all of the SM Planes to cover your lack of AA.
Keep your 3 Exorcists. When they work they rock.
What is the Biker Chaptermaster for?
I also advise giving your scouts a Land Speeder Storm. They kick a surprising amount of ass.
Just my two bits.

Thank you for the response! I appreciate that you took the time to type all this out. I'm pretty familiar with what the "common logic" is when it comes to sisters but I've been pretty successful with my unorthodox list and won't be including any dominions, sadly since they give up extra VPs in 2/6 of the missions at killa. The drop pod idea is a good one as well but I don't own any and won't be purchasing any 2 weeks before the event.... not enough time with 2 kids and a full time job!
AA is a big problem for me, but Thems the breaks... I have one icarus lascannon that will have to do and then 40 bodies to control the board middle where flyers want to be. The biker chaptermaster joins a blob and gives it hit and run and punches things good. (plus I have a cool conversion for it!)
The land speeder storm is an awesome idea... but 2 weeks out I can't afford the time to make/paint it.
What secondaries would you choose vs this list? Did you get a chance to read them?

What does the Space Marines you have currently selected add to your list, that is, what holes do they cover? (I don't have the SM codex)
As for the secondaries. Leave none behind and Marked for Death seems quite doable. The only downside is having to move your exorcists (but not until round 4/5), everything else has so little range that you have to push them forward anyway. This also means you have to try and place objectives more towards the middle of the table.
All the other secondaries seem to be very dependent on what faction/list you will be fighting, what scenario/starting position, and who goes first.
Against your list it would depend on what faction I am running, but 'first blood' if I start or 'last laugh' if I don't, 'linebreaker', 'marked for death', 'moment of bloodshed', and 'leave none behind'.

The space marines are adding in a very tough character in combat and also another source of hit and run in the list as well as a last turn objective contester. The thunderfire lets me increase the cover save of terrain vs things like hornets while giving me a 60inch threat vs the opponents objective grabbers.... the scouts were a tax that will outflank or infiltrate block if needed... or vs something like "lictor-shame" will hide in terrain near my stuff.

I am not that good with space marines, but I would think there would still be many better options to include. Especially something that could work against fliers. The quad gun is also potentially better than the lascannon, as it's better to score multiple glancing hits rather than one penetrating hit in the new edition, but you might have chosen the lascannon because you are tight on points.
Your 20 sisters squad has enough hits that it should be able to take out stuff that has 2+/3+ cover/inv saves, so you might not need the cannon for that. That said, the 20 sister squads are magnets for stuff like large eldar bike squads with up to 40 shots or stuff with multiple blasts or large blast. They will also be ignored in round one due to a 24" range and no way of getting them forward other than walking. Splitting them up and putting them in transports helps keep them alive, helps get them to targets, helps get them to objectives and can give you immolators to boot. You even get ObSec in transports now, so you can keep them safe inside a transport if need be.
Immolators are awsome, and you have 0. Sisters have arguably two really good units, immolators (more so with melta domminions) and exorcists, and you are completely ignoring one of them.
