To much Dark Lance? Do you think the fighters need Night Shields? I'm looking for some final tweaks to this list to really give it some punch. Thank you in advance!

Very nice list. Probably don't need aethersails on the ravagers. An alternate setup could be go full shooting, drop the reavers and get a third ravager. Not super important but just a thought.

I would switch out a few raiders for Venoms.
If available to you, taking a few things out and adding either a Grotesquerie, Dark Artisan, or a Corpsethief make any pure DE list for competitive.
Enhanced Aethersails arent needed, I wouldnt bother taking the dark lances on the razorwings either, as they will be focusing oin infantry. I would give them each a splinter cannon for that exact reason.
Maybe making one raider or two with a full squad of 10 kabalites and using some splinter racks would be a good idea.

So definitely dropping the Aethersails.
You really think the Raiders should be swapped for Venoms? I worried I wouldn't have enough anti-tank.
I definitely like the idea of making a couple warrior squads 10-man and adding the splinter racks.
I had not thought about the Razorwings being anti-infantry though. Thank you both for the input!

Here's my take 2! Dropped the Reavers and the Venom for the Lhamaean, upped two of the warrior squads, and swapped the small warrior transports for Venoms. I would add the Lhamaean to one of the other squads. What do we think?

You can't "add" the Lhamaen anywhere, she's not an IC and you wouldn't have room in any of your transports anyway. You can't take Night Shields on Venoms either. Seeing as you've gone for RSR and your troops don't matter much here's what I would do:
Drop both 5 man warrior + venom squads +all the illegal Night Shields (saves 310 points), buy a Venom for the Lhamaen (+65), buy a character upgrade for one of your squads because otherwise you won't get a warlord trait (+10), buy another Blasterborn squad in a Venom (180).
You then have 55 points left over. You could drop the Dark Lances from your Raiders (you're gonna jink anyway) and buy a Fast Attack Venom for 65.

That is genius! Thank you so much! Also, I had no idea about the Night Shields on Venoms. I somehow missed that completely in the codex. Thanks for the help.

Why would you tell him to drop the lances on the razorwing? What is he supposed to do if the opponent has an AV flyer on the other side of the board? Those razorwing are toast and will be ineffectual against any other flyer out there if he takes the dissies.

Dark Lances aren't nearly as effective at anti-tank as you think they are. Against an opponent that is bringing flyers 4 skyfire dark lances is almost the equivalent of 0 in a competitive meta. Especially when you are paying 145 points for those two skyfire dark lances that will only get to fire at these enemy flyers if they come on after they do.
You are better off bringing them on, dropping their payload on a squad they are designed to kill, then moving on.
I also find it fascinating that your list is almost exactly my 5th edition DE list.
If you are doing mono- DE and want to be competitive using either: Dark Artisan, Grotesquerie, or my personal fav, corpsethief is very conducive to success,

Really? Maybe my brain is still last edition, lol. It seems like it's would get ripped to shreds walking across the board trying to get in to close combat. They also don't capture objectives, so I don't see how these are played. Can you explain how you would use them? Automatically Appended Next Post: Apologies if I'm being dense. Dark artisan deep strikes with a wwp and corpse thief scouts. So both aren't exactly just slogging up the board. With runs a corpse thief is in assault range turn 2, and it's 15 t7 wounds with a 3+ and fnp.
Grotesques can take raiders, also you can Deepstrike them as well
