Been having fun with dioramas lately. Last time I posted it was my sherman. Today I bring you some stronk Soviet steel! This is the Trumpeter KV-8 kit, however, it came with the additional parts to build it with the 76mm gun. I originally wanted to do that, and was pleasantly surprised when I found the required pieces in the kit. The kit itself is a very fine kit. I'm finding that the dragon kits and trumpeter kits are more finely detailed than the Tamiya kits. That said the tank riders are in fact a Tamiya kit. My one mistake on this kit that I do know of however is forgetting to throw on some decals for unit markings on the turret before I went ahead with the weathering

. In my haste I forgot and just went at it...oh well, next time!
I'm getting the feeling I need a bigger light box though,
lol. Apologies about the varying shades in the pictures (2nd to last pic is the best representation of color). I need to work on better lighting and maybe get a proper photo editing program. Anyway, hope you like the scene. I'm back to making a
40k kit at the moment and so far so good. Next up I'm turning a Skaven Verminlord into a Keeper of Secrets so look forward to seeing that in the next couple of months! I could probably start a blog on most of this stuff, but I feel I don't post enough to justify it (just end results usually). Any thoughts on that?
