This is my first list and I'm sure in need of revision, but here are my thoughts. First turn with Astorath, twelve dc, and lemartes all together, Two razorbacks with six tactical marines each, and Raphens squad. The two razors move up toward closest objectives, disembark, and hold positions with tacticals. Astorath, dc, and lemartes jump forward to spearhead, raphen flanks this maneuver. Second turn 3 drop pods containing one Libby, furiouso,and cassor dreadnought , land in the back field to take objectives and or squeeze enemy between dc and dreads. The idea of this list is to use several dreads and death company, while taking advantage of charge rules for blood angels, objective secured, and overall use the fast paced style of play the blood angels are known for. I expect high casualties in this list, but also.think that it will disrupt enemy plans attacking on multiple fronts, all with troops which can also hold objectives. Any helpful ideas, criticism, or suggestions are very welcome. Thanks

I play BA but not with Astorath so dont' have any tips in particular for you since it seems you are going heavy on Death Company but I just wanted to say kudos on your force organization and squad naming.

I don't think that you should bother with Raphen's DC. The loadout is just bad and the price is too much for such a small squad.

I would also like to note that you have no real AT in your list, other than CC.
A Predator might help it.

Your list is ok. Play it and evaluate. I think you need a little more Anti tank, and some AA.

I agree with the AT/AA a little, but I'm not so sure about Raphaens DC... I still like them.

I think the problem is, most people are used to DC being used in a mass with decent shooting power, and 1-2 CC weapons for a dedicated purpose.

The way Raphaen is loaded it makes it hard to pick a target, and every death of a member makes them much less efficent.

Where I think they shine is objective secured, and being vastly overshadowed by your death star. These aren't your elite DC, more of their cleanup crew. Don't be afraid to keep them back until late game, have them babysit your tacs, score objectives and wait until turn 3-4 for their assault.

Thanks for the ideas. I was thinking about twin lascannons on the razorbacks to handle tanks,I'd have to drop some power weapons to make it work. Not sure what to do about anti air without taking allies, love to have a storm raven in the future. As for Raphen's squad they are pricey, but I like that they are a troop choice and as mentioned the idea of using them as a clean up crew /sweep through unit. If they don't perform I might just fold them into dc and pick up some scouts although I don't think they would work too well with the rest of the list.

Anti air suggestions besides taking allies? All I can think of is storm raven.

Stormraven isn't a bad choice, neither are allies.
But in 9 games out of 10, I've done just fine by simply ignoring the Flyers.

Mortis Contemptor Dreadnought might be the best overall solution tough.

The mortis dreads seem cool, but since the apothecary is gone I'm pretty sure ba can only have one ancient relic. I've been thinking of a siccarain tank.
