Hi
I'm just starting Lizards. I basically have the Codex, 20 warriors and Tetto'Eko (I like the model its probally the reason i started lizardmen)
I'm wondering if there are Units that are must have and units to avoid. I like the look of the whole set but I am limited to the funds for the project. So I want to avoid the trap of buying units that will never see the battlefeild due to poor performance or not being worth the points cost.

Paint what you have and wait for 9th edition to drop either late May or July 11th.
If you choose to ignore this, just going by 8th edition, get a Slann & some temple guard plus some skins for skink clouds.

Salamders get 2 they are awesome (play them with an extra handler)
Slann
Temple guard or more saurus
Skinks are alright too those units won't be gone. Don't necessarily have to wait till 9th edition. People will tell you to wait but I'd just buy units that are going to stay around which will be the main stuff

We have no idea what is going on with 9th but before the world blew up the lizards flew off into space. Right now everyone, but especially lizards, need to just wait and see what happens.
