Here's the list I'm taking tonight. It's modified from my 6th edition list, but still includes the same units. What do you think?

No need to clarify about the Serpents. Only units that are part of the Formation get the bonus. Transports are only part of the formation if they are listed in them (Like the Harlequin one that allows them to consolidate back into their Starweaver).

While Serpents can be purchased for many of the Aspect units, "Serpents" are not lists as unit in the Aspect formation.

I don't disagree about the serpents not being part of the formation (because they are not explicitly listed in the formation; e.g. "Dedicated Transports taken for the units in this formation also benefit from the +1BS"). That said, I play with a group of guys that are fairly rigorous about playing RaW. RaW, Dedicated Transports benefit from buffs that affect the units that took them, etc. So, I'll bring it up and see how my local 'meta' is going to play it.

I've already come out (another thread on another board most likely; hard to keep track sometimes) and said that getting +1BS is ridiculous. I also played my (old) Serpent Shield as originating between the two front fins of the vehicle until I was told that I was handicapping myself for no reason. /shrug

Yep the WWP is for the Fire Dragons. I had good success with this list from October of last year through the end of the 6th codex. Rather than dump it for a completely new list, I'm taking it through revisions. I appreciate the 'tame' assessment!

No jetbikes, no Psychic Powers and only 2 D shots in the whole army make it hard to call this list "abusive". This list seems pretty close to an "all-comers"

You clearly have issues with vehicles in your area, otherwise you would not focus so much of your stuff on anti-tank. Is that why most of your Serpent have BL's?

With the WK, the Hornets and the Dragons, I think you are pretty well covered for anti-tank. If you go up against a Horde list, you may struggle. I would suggest trading at least 2 of the Serpents' BLs for Scatters.

No need to clarify about Wave Serpents. Do dedicated transports for TROOPS in a CAD get ObSec? Your answer must be identical.

I don't think you're allies are pulling their weight.
It's a lot of points just to deep strike 5 fire dragons.

I'd rather spend those points on more guys.
For those points, you could get 6 jet bikes with 5 weapons. Trim down the Autarch and you get the 6th heavy weapon.

I'd take 24 S6 shots over 5-10 poison shots and a webway anyday.

Won against the following list last night:

Grey Knights Nemesis Strike Force (2x5 Terminators, Grandmaster, Librarian, 8-10 Interceptors, Dreadknight), a lone Imperial Knight (battle cannon), and an Allied Detachment of Imperial Guard (Command Squad with Meltas, 10 guys in Camo, Vendetta). He also brought an Aegis Defense Line with a Comms Relay, which I think was illegal, unless the Nemesis Strike Force has a Fortification slot. /shrug

Mission was a modified version of Crusade (6 Objectives, each worth 3 points).

I'll have a video battle report up this weekend.
