This is my take on the standard wolf star list. I've added drop pods to add initial threat and get me first blood. I think this will mean people will have to deal with the immediate threats of melta bombs and units in their deployment before my star.

So that's 12 meltas to try and nuke something like an imperial knight. What do you guys think I recon it will do well. And against D shooting I can just LoS to a dog take my 4+ invun (if its not a 6) and laugh (until they roll a 6 on stomp .

I think your over thinking the process of fighting an imperial knight and making a mountain out of a molehill.

I can roll over a land raider with a laser destroyer vindicator and a handful of meltas for a fraction of the effort your bringing out here, I'm talking like 5 melta weapons littered here n there and the laser destroyer in the background with his 72" guns of hot messy action. A laser destroyer in theory here can turn a predator to goo in a single volley. He could one shot a battle wagon. It's hard to find the justification for spending mountains of effort kiting out a whole army with close range anti tank.

It's a fun idea but I don't see it ending well for you in practice. This list would struggle against hordes as well and it would really have a tough time dealing with good heavy infantry like deathwing terminators. Yeah you can hit n run on the wolves and yea the bikes make you auto pass but you can't outrun an entire army that's literally melted the remainder of your force. Which is devoid of anything interesting.

Imo this should get taken back to the drawing board and maybe try to capture what makes each army special, as well as what makes bringing these two armies together special.

admech army: 600pts

I dont think this list would have trouble dealing with death wing terminators the terminators are slow I could easily out manoeuvre them. Although you are probably onto something me investing alot of points into drop pods and lack of horde control. So of I take off two of the tactical squads (swap for scouts). Then do a little bit of shuffling I can fit in a relic scorpious with the ignores cover relic.

You need more cyberwolves. Drop a pod and that star is more likely to get across the table.

I'm thinking about running the list as this. With scout and the initial drop pod threat people will have to concentrate their fire there. I've added the scorpious for anti horde.

So. Honestly? Drop some marines and Max out on Cyberwolves. You need those ablative wounds to get your Wolfstar across the table. And to LoS barrage onto etc etc. I'd also prefer to buff the unit with a rune priest on a bike over one of the WGBLs. Like the scorpious.

I find having just 2 psychic dice doesn't cut it I'd need 2 psychers. I'm a little reluctant to drop marines purely because I like having some OS to hold objective and pick up maelstrom points. I'll give it a try maxing out on wolves but I'm not sure I'll prefer it. But having the scorpious seems like a great addition.
