First time poster and long time lurker here! Hopefully in the right section

So into business. I last year started getting into WFB, not for the gaming (because there's not a gaming community in my hometown), but for modelling and painting reasons. I enjoyed the looks of the High Elves so I started from them.
I also interested in greenstuffing things so Im giving it a go. Right now I've bene battling with it to create a cape for a hero unit so wanted ask if it does even look right to you.

Dont mind the awful mess on the shoulder pad, Im trying to figure out what the hell Im doing here. Also crappy photo with my phone.

Oh and to mention my painting/modelling experience consists of about 5-7 models so not much...

EDIT: Also here's a pic of my painting skills. My first three models I've painted.

Heroic capes blowing in the wind?

One option is to roll out your cape and let it sit and cure slightly (i think the timing was like 10-15 min) to get semi stiff. then you bend it into the shape you want and attach it.

Exactly what I was going for. Gonna give it go, its around 10-15 mintues allready so let's what happens. Btw, is a problem if I made the cape too thin, because I need to prop the cape up with something to get the effect that it's blowing in the wind?

One option is to use blue tac and celifane to make the shape you want and lay the cape on top of it. then once it hardens remove the blue tac and plastic,.

When working with green stuff You need to work with a foundation. Roll out a simple cape, stick it on, get the general shape and let it cure all the way. Then sculpt the folds into it. Smooth with a wet tool.
