So I'm planning a large conversion for a custom chapter I came up with, essential the chapter master is larger than average space marine with large wings growing from his back and Black Dragon like blades growing from his wrists. And I was wondering which large scale Space marine models would be useful, these can be any model beside Primarchs and Centurions. Thanks in advance.

Ooooo are you doing Black dragons? Look into True scaling. Pretty easy way of making some one look bulked out I think if you are looking to bulk out a Artificer armor then a good starting point is terminator legs (probably GK) As for dragon like wings there is always the possessed one off Chaos you could probably dechaosify Im at a loss for Wrist bladse though im sure there is something in chaos. Edit: I think one of the forgeworld terminators make a decent conversion bit too.

Have you thought about converting your own true-scale style model? I've seen them done with terminator legs and regular legs and green stuff, there are plenty of tutorials about.

if you want to make a stand out character, i recommend true scale. i rarely do regular size marines any more as true scale are so much fun to make and look so sweet. for my recommened true scale, you'll need to acquire some terminator legs, greenstuff and or milliput, and some accessories and extra kit like pouches, grenades, daggers etc

Thanks for the help, in that case I'll probably aim for a true scale model.

for the dragon wings get one of them D&D
models and seperate him from his wings
you can use a termie front, remove the hood and greenstuff the back then the wings will fit, and he will be bigger than ur average SM and slightly taller than a termie
