Is a squad of 3 immune to the Moral on double ones rule?

No biggy, just an interesting thing that happened the other day. 3 Necrons made up a unit. 2 had been killed but the last did not have to roll double ones to rally because technically the unit wasn't reduced to below 25% or something.

Happened a week ago. Does this sound right?

Correct, since 1 model is at least 25% of the starting squad size, there is no need for double 1's to regroup.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

If the squad started with 3 models, then yes, it is impossible to reduce them below 25% of their starting strength without wiping out the entire unit.

Ok, I assume this wasnt intentional or something, but wanted to check.

While I am at it, how does jetbikes and terrain work?

I had some jetbikes land on a flat but high terrain piece. According to the rules, I could go through the terrain piece over to the other side fine, but to land on top I would have to "climb" the terrain piece to land on the top.

Does that sound right? The terrain rules are very annoying to understand in 40k.

Depends on how you classified the terrain with your opponent. If the top of terrain was open, like a plateau, and where your bikes ended their move was open, then no terrain test. It doesn't matter what they cross, as long as they FINISH their move on open ground.

Ok thought so. So ruins jetbikes would have to "climb" up but if it was treated as open ground then they could zoom up?

How do you measure this? Vertically? Or horizontally? Or the angle?

You measure directly from the starting point to the ending point

So on an angle? Or flat?

Is there a section in the rule book I can find for these terrain questions or are they all odd references here and there?
