I'm looking to put together a fun list using Apsect Warriors that isn't terrible. Opinions on the below would be most welcome. I'm only using 2 Detachments max, due to that being standard in my meta.

Dire Avenger Shrine is not like the Aspect Host. You are only allowed a single Exarch.

For the rest I would be curious to see how it would handle. Close Combat is your main weakness.

10 dark reapers in a squad seems like a really big waste.

10 dark reapers can threaten a flyrant or storm raven, less can't. Also not sure where else I could spend the points.

I'd probably go with a CAD or the eldar specific detachment as one of your two choices. Units of 10 are much less efficient than MSU.

If you are taking aspect warriors and don't take at least 30 warp spiders you are doing it wrong.

I'm an Eldar Aspect Warrior Fanatic such as yourself. I agree with some of the things said in earlier posts, try not to use so many 10 many squads, as they are less effective than MSU, this can be dictated by the actual squad. 10 man dire avenger or scorpion squads are ok. 10 man fire dragon squads are pricey and very much overkill. Most things will die to 6 fire dragons, let alone 10. Also I agree that mixing a CAD with the Aspect Host is the best way to go as you can take advantage of Obsec Windriders and your aspect host.

Here is a list that I recently created, it has its own flaws (some 10 man squads as well, only 1 aa dedicated unit) but I feel like it will be both fluffy and fun to play, as well as also putting a hurt on an opponent.

Combined Arms Detachment (1217 pts)

HQ - Farseer Skyrunner + Singing Spear (attach to one of the windrider squads)
HQ - Karandras (with scorpions)

Troops - 5x Windriders (1 upgraded to warlock) w/ 5x scatter lasers
Troops - 6x Windriders w/ 6x Shuri-cannons

Elites - 10x Striking Scoprions (1 upgraded to exarch w/ scorpions claw)

Fast Attack - 10x Swooping Hawks (1 upgraded to exarch w/ Sunrifle)

Heavy Support - Falcon Tank w/ bright lance and shuriken cannon + holofields

Aspect Host (642 pts) +1 BS

10x Dire Avengers (1 upgraded to exarch w/ Power Axe and Shimmershield)
DT Wave Serpent - TL bright lance + shuriken cannon

6x Fire Dragons (1 upgraded to exarch w/ firepike) - These go in the Falcon Tank

10x Warp Spiders (1 upgraded to exarch)

1859 pts. total

So we are over by about 10 pts, we can drop one of the dire avengers or drop a swooping hawk and give your warlock a singing spear or something.

In posting any list I would suggest saying what models you are planning to work with as the sky is not always the limit.

So if you are going for an aspect warriors list at 1850 using 2 detachments I would use a CAD and the Aspect Host. In general I would look for something like this assuming the models you mentioned before are ones you own:

Total: 1842 (8 leftover)

Eldar CAD: 1247

1 x Autarch w/ Wings, Banshee Mask, Fusion Pistol, Shard of Anaris (140)
3 x 10 Dire Avengers w/ Exarch w/ Shimmershield and Power Weapon in Wave Serpents w/ tl scatter and shuriken cannon (285 ea, 855)
2 x 6 Swooping Hawks w/ Exarch w/ power weapon & hawks talons (126 ea, 252)

Aspect Host: 595

1 x 5 Fire Dragons in Wave Serpent w/ tl scatter and shuriken cannon (235)
2 x 5 Dark Reapers w/ Exarch and Starshot (360)



Assuming you do not have exactly all those models or have other options, enforcing 2 detachment limit, using Eldar only, and keeping in the Aspect Warrior theme I would try something like below. If air is fairly routine in your area I would sway slightly from the theme and add a crimson hunter and CH exarch by removing Kandras and the Scorpions.

Total: 1846

Eldar CAD: 1226

The real question is how thematic do you want to be and what models do you have access to.

I think Karandras is an excellent choice, I would drop the dark reapers entirely, drop the dire avengers, and add a second warp spider unit and take crimson hunters formation, (they are also an aspect) and I try somehow to squeeze in 3 Singing Spears for objectives (even if that means dropping the hawks), for shoot n scoot with their exarch's powerlance
