Hi everyone!

I have been debating playing for years and have always kept a watch on these forums as well as several youtube channels that post games and finally decided to create an account here.

I will be starting a space marine army and adding to it whenever I can get a bit of extra money (great hobby to pick up when short on cash, right?) since I am attracted to their play style, relative low cost comparatively, their lore based on what bits I have read and picked up on as well as the way they look.

As for myself, I am a 29y/o male from Toronto. I was a pretty serious gamer for over a decade (CS, WoW, LoL) but I haven't really been playing much for the past two years. I play lots of Magic whenever there is a draft or sealed deck play near my house and I can escape the gf. Sadly I work weekends so I never get to go out to my FLGS to enjoy their weekend events. Other than that, I read a lot and listen to lots of metal.

Hello, I am fairly new to Dakka Dakka as well. Currently for Warhammer 40,000 I am starting a Raven Guard battle company. I have played Eldar in the past and will probably continue to do so. I am also collecting Sisters of Battle figures. I also plan to purchase Robotech RPG Tactics from Palladium Books.

I enjoy power metal and especially classic rock from 1974-1986. And well, Rush is an awesome band.

Thanks for the welcome! Rush is amazing. I love power metal, just got tickets to see Blind Guardian again (not till October though) and I am super stoked.

Welcome to the club. Marines are a good place to start and you should be able to find oodles on Ebay on the cheap.

Thanks guys! Managed to trade some Magic cards for a few marines so I am on my way to pick them up now for my first models. Can't wait to get some paints and start assembling and painting them!

Welcome to Dakka, it took me a good 3 or 4 years to actually by into the game but it has been once of the funnest decisions I have made. I'm sure once you start playing you will agree.
