I really like the choice of skin-tone on this piece.

Very nice work. As BA has said, I like the variations in skin tone as well as the grubbiness you've accomplished without making the figure look like you just drybrushed brown on him. The worn metal and bone also look very nice.

Thanks, drybrushing is something I rarely use. The dirt was stippled on.
The skin was done using Scale 75 Unnatural flesh set.

The rust on the grip/handle of his mace is also particularly well done.

The only thing with which I am conflicted with are the pustules and blisters on his body.

The movie depicted these as sub-cutaneous pockets of histamine, much like a blister, which tends to have a glossier appearance than a pustule, or abscess.

But... I did not care too much for the movie's depictions. And thus I tend to prefer the lumps painted as pustules over blisters.

Overall, I prefer this depiction much more so than that of the movie's "Goblins" from Goblin Town.

But then I am partial to Blue Goblins, as the very first miniature I ever painted was a Blue Hobgobljn (from Archive) that was based upon the Rankin-Bass Cartoon of The Hobbit.

Further down the page of the forum, there are some Thunderbolt Mountain Goblins I have painted that have some of them done in a similar shade of blue (slightly darker).

But they are nowhere near as well done as is this one (save maybe for the Great Goblin Command Group). I am kicking myself for being too impatient to do very high quality work... Jealous.

You are kind. I didn't care much for the film version of the goblins.
This was actually a relatively quick paint job, if I had more time I would push the contrast more but like I've alluded, time was against me.
The entire EFGT box set will be part of a Diorama I am working on that needs to be finished by the end of July.
There are 10 dwarves still to do and the same goblins, plus the base.
