So the Imperial scum have access not only to better lords of war than the Orks, but bigger ones too, and even formations of the damn things!

This can't be allowed to stand. Da Orks gotta have the biggest and the bestest Gargant on the battlefield.

But how to make a workable profile for such a thing? Just counts-as a Reaver Titan? Nah, thats lames. We could Orkify the Reaver's stats, giving it crappy BS but more attacks or some such? That could work? Alternatively, what about simply fusing 2-3 stompas into one gigantic profile? Or even building something from scratch?

And if one was not just crazy enough to build a gargant but to make or buy a number of stompas to go with it, what kind of formation could they have?

In case people are not familiar with the stats of a typical Titan, I'll now post up what is totally just a homebrew Gargant statline and definitely nothing at all to do with an actual unit profile.

Totally legit Gargant prototype rules

Cost: c.1500
WS 1 BS 4 S10 ARM 14/14/13 I 1 A 2 HP 18

4x Void Shields
-Nuklea Reaktor; When it blows up, everything nearby is hit by strength D

Any one of the following
-Dubble barrel turbo laza destructa [2x Strength D large blasts at long range]
-Plazma blastagun [Can fire in two ways. Either two 7" blasts at S8 AP2, or one 9" blast at S10 AP2]
-Inferno Megaskorcha [A Hellstorm, S7 AP3 flamer]
-Vorkan mega-shoota [Fires 15 shots at S6 AP3]
-Aporkalypse rokket launcha [Crazy long range, five shot apocalyptic barrage with S7 AP3]
-Vortex rokket [A range of about 20 metres of real space, fires a single 5" vortex attack, only one shot though. Bomb your friends on the next table over!]

Plus two of the following
-Gatlin blasta [Space Marines had it good for too long, so I made it 6 large blasts at S8 AP3]
-Melta kannon [A 10" S10 melta blast]
-Volkano Kannon [Only 7" blast but strength D]
-Laza Blasta [If you really need to D a bunch of stuff, three normal large blasts of SD goodness]
-Titan Close Combat Weapon [lol]

And then may select one of the following;
- Stompy feet [100pts] - can reroll dice to determine number of stomps, gains +d3 attacks when charging instead of +1
- Repair Krew [200pts] - gains It Will Not Die
- Gitfindaz [150pts] - reroll to hit rolls of 1
- Scary Paint [100pt] - enemies must pass leadership at -2 or fight at int 1 vs this gargant

From what I can recall, there used to be an Apoc formation of stompas called the Stompa Mob back before they updated it with the 6th ed. book. It was 200+ points with the models with a minimum of 3+ stompas, with one designated as the boss stompa. The best part was the option to....

Stompede!:

Instead of assaulting normally, a Stompa Mob, may at the beginngin of its Assault phase, make a special Stompede move. If you choose to do so, each stompa within 6" of the Boss Stompa must move its full assault move, plus an additional D6" directly ahead.

Roll a die for every model that one of the Stompas moves over (friend or foe, except Super-Heavies or GMC). On a 4+ the model suffers a single strength D hit. Any immobile or
stunned vehicles are hit automatically. If any enemy models would end up underneath one of the Stompas after they have reached their final position, they are moved out of the way by the shortest distance.

If a Stompa comes in contact with a Super-Heavy vehicle or a GMC it will immediately stop and engage it in close combat, but gains +D3 attacks for charging.

If a Stompa moves over or through non-impassible terrain it is destroyed - remove it from the table. If it comes into contact with impassible terrain it immediately stops and suffers D3 S10 hits on its front armour.

At the end of a stompede rolla D6. On a 1-3, the stompa crews get carried away and may not change direction the next turn and must continue directly ahead and must continue to Stompede in this same direction in their next Assault phase. If any move off the edge of the table
they are removed from play - they've clearly spotted something in the distance that deserves
a good stomping.

I figure if we tweak this part out a bit (take out the 200+ point tax for example) and change it so that this destroyer hit has a -1 modifier (no need for crazy 6's everywar) and maybe give the formation either Rampage or have the Boss Stompa get +1WS or +1BS if its a Mek Stompa to represent some of the fluffy parts of a Stompa Mob roaming about.

Oh man that is a sweet formation! Thats answered that question and more

As for the gargant one idea I had was to just fuse two Stompas together, making a profile with twice the price, twice the stomps, twice the guns, twice the carry capacity, twice the HP etc. It could even take two hits from any blast weapon, making it essentially two stompas in one model.

That would make a fully kitted out Gargant pretty impressive, though it would need a house rule of maximum X repair rolls (however many you can cram in one stompa) to prevent that particular shenanigan getting out of hand.

For 1550 you'd get something pretty comparable to the Reaver Titan, though I've left out str D shooting cuz its lame

WS 4, BS 2, S 10, 13/13/12 ARM, I 1, A 11* (!!!), 24 HP
*4 per stompa, +3 for "klawstompa" ie having two CCW. 11 does seem a bit insane though

Gaze of Mork, Big Shoota [55]
Krusha Ball, Bursta Gun [125]
Titan CCW, Deth Kannon + co axial supa gatler [175]
Four lobbas [60]
Belly Gun [150] + standard carry capacity [x30] instead of a second hull weapon
And naturally two deff arsenals and four grot bomm launchas [280]

Plus, of course, the Klawstompa special rule (attacks increase to 7, can throw dead stuff around the table etc) because two CCW

That looks pretty fun to me

That profile does indeed look ded killy. I still feel that a Gargant would have an AV14 front though, just from the sheer size and bulk of armour plating. If a battlewagon has it, I feel a gargant definitely should.
