So I am going to an event very soon and am working on a list. This event is NOT allowing the new eldar since it came out so close to the event. LMK what you think! I want to do well but don't expect to win it all.

I am a little concerned about KP but I guess with DE there isn't much more I can expect.

3 things I would like to point out.

5 Dire Avengers is kind of weak by themselves. Low body count for my taste.

Scatter Laser on Wave Serpents brings nothing to the table. Better off with a lance or missile launcher.

Fire Dragon exarch does not have fast shot anymore so do not cound on it, plus 5 fire dragons footslogging? They will be a priority target and get wiped real quick.

Thanks for the impute. If you see above I wrote that the gt I am going to is not using the new Eldar yet since it came out so close to the event.

The fire dragons will be with the archon and deep striking in the fast attack raider.

Old rules = scatter laser win.

I took the min DA for the serpent.


What do you think is a better option these days for the turret??

With the next codex it depends on what is inside it. I tend to go for flexibility in my lists. If the Wave Serpent carries anti-armor (Fire Dragons) I equip the Serpent for anti-infantry to help/complement the cargo. If I put Dire Avengers I put Brightlances to open a vehicule and the DA can shoot the content. The Eldar Missile launcher will likely be more present since it now includes the Flakk ammo. So your wave serpents can deal with infantry with small blasts, light transports with the standard missile AND help out against flyers with the Flakk. Again flexibility.
