How many can you Shoot?
You can shoot all four anywhere regardless of modeling
You can shoot all four anywhere only if the vehicle is modeled apropriately
You cannot change the way it is modeled and can only fire all four if a unit is directly in front of you and wide enough.

For those of you familiar with the Battlewagon model and the rules surrounding it I have this question. No where in the rules that I know of does it point out that certain weapons have to go in certain places.
For example, say you buy the 4 big shootas. The kit has it so you put two on top and one on either side. Now my question is do you get your four BS shooting at any target anywhere, or only when something is right in front of your wagon and very wide. If the argument is that the side big shootas can only target on their side, could you model them on top? Like I said as far as I know there are no rules about where you put them.

So my question is can you fire all four regardless of the targets location? If not can you model them anywhere on the model so you can fire at any unit? Same goes for Rokkits.

Depends on your opponant really, if I was fighting you and you had a sweet converted waggon then sure you could do that. If you're at a torny and there's a cash prize or a nice model on the line then probably not as you're modelling for an advantage.

Does the Battlewagon have the ability to select multiple targets?

If not then it must fire its weapons at a single target as normal, and would therefore need to be in range and able to draw line of sight from the weapons to that single target as normal.

I think with orks being orks...You can probably be fine doing modeling it to where all big shooters can shoot the same target. If you notice, most ork vehicles say you can take a weapon, but does not say where to put it. I feel GW did that to allow players to expand their hobby skills, and orks are the best army for such a task....Just make it look cool to give you the rule of cool.

IIRC the instructions show multiple positions for the bolt on big shootas/rokkits.

as the name states 'bolt on' they are not normally mounted in traditional -sane- ways. More like, the boss said put all them gunz on the side like dis, then an ork tries to question it and his brains become part of the paintjob, and the rest put all 4 guns on the side, for no sane reason.

There's nothing even implying the guns cannot be linked together as I believe the 'rokkit turrets' have two rokkits on them each. They of course are not twin linked as there is no option for them to do so, but there are obviously two rokkits there. Been a while since I looked however, so may be off on that.

That and the BW model is relatively new compared to the rules. I have three Leman Russ tanks that ive used as either Looted Wagons or BW's. All of their weapons are turreted mounted off the top turret. Never had anybody complain about them.

As opposed to the endless complaints I hear when I run my GorkaMorka style Trukks, 100% assembled exactly like the picture on the box and everything.

Fighting crime in a future time!
