So we finally got a batrep in for 30k. Still working on our armies but we managed to slap together 2000pts a piece and slug it out. I got to try out my navigator and count as xiphon. The xiphon is pretty sweet, I love the having to re-roll successful jink and cover saves with the xiphons missiles. Skimask mohawk rocked a lot of pods this go around, it was a bloodbath.

Some interesting and cool conversions. I'll be watching that sweet, sweet VHS porn lighting tonight on the TV. Have you found that 30k play feels different than 40k? I don't want to digress another thread into a 7th edition complaint thread but I'd actually have been fine with a bigger scope to 30k gaming using a LOW and an ally force org given the more epic nature of the era.

Well 30k does it better, the crazy is there for all to reach out for and grab, but you gotta be playin like 2500-3000pts to whip it out.

There is some sort of 25% limit on LOW, right? In any case, I'm a bit surprised to hear it went faster. It that because of a higher per model pt cost so lower figure count? And, derp, I meant conversions not animations in the previous post. Nice job!

Yeah your low can't be worth more than 25% and can only be taken after 2000pts. I think it goes faster due to higher pt cost per model so pretty low model count for 2000pts. It's still possible to do hoard but neither of us have really tried yet.
