Hi all,
As the title says, I'm looking for ideas on stand ins or conversions / kitbash ideas for the blood angel named characters.

Pretty sure I can make a reasonable Dante and Tycho with the Sanguinary Guard set and some choice bits. ~ the other guys I need ideas for. Main reason is that theyre finecast and thats just nope,

'Ain't nothing crazy about me but my brain. Right brain? Riight! No not you right brain! Right left brain? Right!... Okay then lets do this!!

You can use the Space Hulk Calistarius (Librarian) model for Mephiston -- It doesn't look like the Mephiston model, but it *IS* Mephiston, before he becomes Chief Librarian. Personally, I hate the Mephiston model; I think it's ugly.

Corbulo, use a Sanguinary Priest. Not only is Corbulo a sanguinary priest anyhow, the models are very similar (cup and chainsword), except the priest is way better.

Dante, as you say, is easy. Use Sanguinary Guard bits + Death Company jump pack. There's a kitbash in my gallery you can see of him.

Dunno why you want Tycho But if you really want him, use bits from the BA tac squad and death company.

Astorath and Sanguinor actually have nice finecast kits. However, they are not very good models to play with, so I don't know why you'd bother. But you could use sanguinary guard for Sanguinor, and make scrolly things out of greenstuff. Astorath's wings look like Sanguinary Guard wings (Sort of, or you can use scourge wings), but his body is highly unique.

Crassor is just a Furioso kit (using the DC build).

I don't know anyone who plays Gabriel Seth as the LoW over Dante. But if you really want him, it's just use a space marine with a chainsword and some funky backpack banner thing

Karlaen is plastic, so yay!

Thanks Talys, some good suggestions there.
I've got Karlean, and Calistarius, and some generic no name ones ~ the newish termie libby and the sanguinary priest (who could easily just be corbulo . And the chaplain from reclusiam command squad.

Main reason to want the named chars is for completeness.
They dont have to look the same as the official sculpts, but to obviously be what they stand in for.
Just cant do Finecast, I only ever had one figure in it, and wouldnt get another if you paid me. (that figure got binned)

I would go for the metals on ebay, but I've had most of them before some years back, something a bit fresher to paint that wont look noticably old alongside the new gen plastics would be prefered.

I had thought of using the sanguinary priest character as a starting point for a mephistion, getting a psychic hood from a greyknight, and doing some arm swaps. Then finding a head that looks the part ~ theres one I like in the blood angel assault terminators kit that has some fangs on show. (making Meph this way would leave me a spare priest challice an apothecary backpack to make a different looking corbulo with)
