Hello. Fairly simple question.

Does twin linking a weapon, wielded by something with BS6 do anything? (Eldar Exarchs can be made BS6 via formations and have access to twink linked weapons).

BS 6 lets you roll again if you missed. Twink linking lets you re-roll misses. Same thing?

Don't have my book on me and this idea popped into my head.

Thanks.

Kinda BS 6 lets you re-roll missis and hits on a 6+. Twin-linked lets you re-roll misses and to hit at the same bs as pervious. bs 5 or better with twin-link might as well be bs10 2+ to hit with a re-roll of 2+ to hit.

It's easy to assume that people arguing an interpretation you disagree with are just looking for an advantage for themselves... But it's quite often not the case.

The re-roll granted for BS6 requires a 6 if the initial shot is missed, improving as BS increases up to BS10 being 2+/2+.

Twin-linked will allow you to re-roll at effectively full ballistic skill, and is explicitly stated to take precedence over BS6 or higher

the twin linked reroll takes precedence. only get one reroll. so, 2 chances to get a 2+.

see "Ballistic Skill of 6 or Better" in the shooting section of the BRB. It gives the example of a master-crafted weapon, but makes it clear this is a general rule.

EDIT: hmm. double ninja'd. Easy question, I guess.

Twin-linked also works for Snap Shots, while BS6+ does not.
