I've got a few (well, one)colour schemes I want your opinions on for my upcoming 'Letters; how would I go about making this?
Burnt Flesh: My favorite so far, how would one go about painting the Letters so that they look like they've been through literal Hell, with burnt and charred skin, and some glowing bits still on fire. I'd probably just paint either red or pale skin underneath, and then proceed with the whole fire part.

I think that if bits were still on fire then there wouldn't be many areas left unscathed. I think you have it though, paint it up flesh color but maybe hit it with a red wash to look raw and angry then use some dark greys etc. for charing over the top. Look for a tutorial on doing lava bases (cooling molten) but sub the red/yellow/orange with those flesh tones and i bet you'd have something pretty cool.

Quick and dirty burn victims with GW colors: prime white, basecoat with a thin layer of Blood for the Blood God technical paint, cover that with a relatively thick coat of Aggrellan Earth, let it dry, paint the top layer with an almost black brown, drybrush over that with a shade lighter brown. Do horns/eyes/etc to taste.

Hm, wouldn't that just be a bright red underneath the Agrellan? I like the idea, though.

If you look at pictures of burn victims, they'll have blackened, crispy skin with cracked areas where the oozing red flesh is visible underneath. It's not a perfect copy, but if you're trying to crank a bunch of infantry out in a short time it gives a tabletop standard.
