Hey guys.

With the rescuplts for some of the morat units, I decided to try them out. Heres the list I came up with.

Yaogat Strike Infantry Lt. - Combi Rife, Panzerfaust
Yaogat Strike Infantry - Spitfire
Yaogat Strike Infantry - Combi Rife, Panzerfaust
Yaogat Strike Infantry - Boarding Shotgun, Grenades

Raicho Armored Brigade - Multi HMG, Heavy Flame Thrower

Med-tech Obsidon Mechanoid - Combi Rifle, D-Charges

Kurgat Assault Engineer - Autocannon, D-Charges, Antipersonnel Mines

Daturazi Witch Soldier - Chain Rifle, Grenades, Smoke Grenades, AP CCW
Daturazi Witch Soldier - Chain Rifle, Grenades, Smoke Grenades, AP CCW
Daturazi Witch Soldier - Chain Rifle, Grenades, Smoke Grenades, AP CCW

Cost: 300pts SWC:5.5

Im still pretty new to the game so all advice is greatly appreciated

Looks fine to me. I would make sure to deploy at least one Daturazi near the Yaogats for smoke combos.

Personally I don't like the Autocannon Kurgat, too much SWC being spent on a squishy profile. The model's cool looking so might as well try it.

If you can find the points for a fifth Yaogat the +3BS link bonus is very nice with them since they're a versatile unit that can deal with most anything.

Thanks for the reply

The main (albeit stupid) reason why I don't have the yaogat sniper is because they haven't done a resculpt (anyone have any idea if and when that is going to happen?). As for the Kurgat, I debated taking him out in exchange for Treitak Anyat. As for the Daturazi, should I try to upgrade them or is the chain rifle variation good enough?

No idea when that's out.

Kurgat is better defensively with his mines, hits hard no matter what he's shooting at and is a back up for Dr. Worm. Anyat needs to get closer to get in rifle/grenade range and only has an advantage engaging heavier models but she's got smoke and climbing + which makes for interesting tactics. Throw a smoke grenade right against a building wall (smoke templates are infinitely tall) so you can get on the roof without Anyat being shot at. You can do this with Daturazi as well and is one way to remove infiltrators prone on top of buildings.

The Smoke LGL is useful, partners really well with Yaogats and other Daturazi. Working with other Daturazi you can activate the Smoke LGL's impetuous order first to launch smoke into a forward position, that way you can move the others up at maximum speed behind the smoke screen and don't have to risk FtF. The other profiles aren't bad by any stretch but I only take them if I'm running a Witch Soldier fireteam. Usually the extra points to upgrade can be spent in better places.
