Looks like a fun list, full of blobs and a few tough units. Though there are a lot of areas you could save points, and keep to your theme.

For starters I would say to never put marks on your Cultists. The +1 toughness is not worth the cost per model, especially when you could just take more bodies instead. Besides, if you want tough Cultists just go the Typhus route and run them as Plague Zombies instead. Also, shotguns are rarely worth it. I've never found myself in a game and thought "Dang, that shotgun would have really made the game!". Heavy stubbers are not so bad, but you should be snap firing them all game, so take that into account. Flamers never miss with a template, but that's just my 2 cents.

Like you mentioned, you went a bit crazy on your Lord, heh. I tend to do the same, it's so tempting. Though 285 pts is A LOT of your army. Particularly Ichor Blood on both your HQ's. Additionally what is your plan for the Lord on the Palenquin? His mobility will be hampered if he runs with the Cultists, and he'll just be picked off if he runs alone.

If you did plan to run the Lord with some Cultists I would suggest dropping the Nurgle marks and making one huge blob for your Lord. Would be pretty cool thematically too, a mighty Chaos Lord on his mount surrounded by a horde of shambling Cultists.

I mean, besides all of that WARHOUND!!! So in either case, that should handle most lists .

That's a good point about the cultists, but since I am out of models to use more, I just chucked that on to make them a bit tougher and while I like do like the zombies and they would probably be better suited to guarding the Hound, but ranged attacks are my preferred choice of attack and cultists can really dish it out. I put on the shotguns just to even out the point values, but I do understand that they are rarely worth it.

As for the lord, I did make some fluff up for him and used the palenquin to show one of his abilities. I read somewhere that Mortarion could turn his body into flies and buzz around the field. Not sure if this is true, but I liked the idea and wanted that for the lord and so i gave him the Palanquin. Maybe a jump pack would better suited to showing that. Another reason I choose it, is because I want to get close to my opponents company master and his stupid mace of redemption and tear him apart with the hand of darkness. I know this is very risky, but the lord is quite strong and I REALLY want that guy dead. Of course, that is not his soul purpose, he is also able to run around dishing out attacks to infantry and vehicles alike, but i have no plans of moving him, until the enemy gets close enough. It may be a waste of points to just have him sitting around, but should he get close, he will be able to take quite a lot with him.

I do like that Idea as the cultists are known as Morien's Flies (Morien being the name of the lord). But, I really need those cultists to hang out around the Warhound as my friend has some termies and knights that would demolish the Warhound in melee. Hmmm, might have been a good Idea to say what I would be fighting.

But yeah, he should be able to blast most things before they become much of a threat.

Thanks for the advice though.

My friend is cool with it and wants to see how well his dark angels will do against it. All he has to do is get through 40 squishy models and 2 tough leaders to get to it.
