to clarify I looked for a similar thread.

There are 209 pages of threads in the Dakkadakka background section.

Each page has 49 threads on it.
Therefore, there are 10,904 threads in the Background Section. This means, if every single thread's topic was "What is your favorite Space Marine legion?", it would take 99.2 copies of the Dakka background section to have one million threads about "What is Your Favorite Space Marine legion?"

Therefore, you're fine

I don't think the Night Lords get the love they deserve.

Really aren't fussed about Thousand Sons since the Rubric but absolutely love their 30k version.

I am a huge fan of the thousand sons chapter. They are probably the most tragic in my opinion and have some of the most interesting fluff.

It's a toss up for me between Alpha Legion and the Iron Warriors. Raven guard is a close second.

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

Night lords are my favorite then Thousand sons maybe DA after them.

This

Also honorable mention for Blood Angels and Ultramarines. I'm liking Ultramarines more and more as the Heresy series progresses.

Imperial Fists. Iron Warriors are a close second.

Homebrew Imperial Guard: 1222nd Etrurian Lancers (Winged); Special Air-Assault Brigade (SAAB)
Homebrew Chaos: The Black Suns; A Medrengard Militia (think Iron Warriors-centric Blood Pact/Sons of Sek)

I totally agree. I think the writers are conscious of the dislike the poster-boy legion gets, and have tried hard to make Bob's legion likeable. I also find myself liking the Ultramarines more as the HH series progresses.

I am also a sucker for the tragic fate of the Thousand Sons.

Definitely Thousand Sons, both pre and post heresy. Iron Warriors seem close to tragedy, but I also like the pre-heresy Emperor's Children as well

Aside, is the poll set up supposed to let me vote for more than one? I have seen the format before and was always curious if that was on-purpose. Oh well, it made deciding easier by not making me narrow it down to just one

I'm a fan of post heresy death guard, because of Nurgle, but my favorite legion has to be either the Salamanders because I just have to root for them for suffering a massive loss at the drop ship massacre, and kept on going (albeit at a much slower rate), and Vulkan is a cool guy imo, although I also do like the dark angels.

Well if this poll is the metric we're measuring by, the white scars don't get the love they deserve and by extension all those space marine biker army players are FAKERS.

Except them weeny black gitz. Deyz okay

Salamanders. Remembering their obligation not to honor, but to the people of the Imperium puts them way ahead in my book.

Exactly this.

"Because the Wolves kill cleanly, and we do not. They also kill quickly, and we have never done that, either. They fight, they win, and they stalk back to their ships with their tails held high. If they were ever ordered to destroy another Legion, they would do it by hurling warrior against warrior, seeking to grind their enemies down with the admirable delusions of the 'noble savage'. If we were ever ordered to assault another Legion, we would virus bomb their recruitment worlds; slaughter their serfs and slaves; poison their gene-seed repositories and spend the next dozen decades watching them die slow, humiliating deaths. Night after night, raid after raid, we'd overwhelm stragglers from their fleets and bleach their skulls to hang from our armour, until none remained. But that isn't the quick execution the Emperor needs, is it? The Wolves go for the throat. We go for the eyes. Then the tongue. Then the hands. Then the feet. Then we skin the crippled remains, and offer it up as an example to any still bearing witness. The Wolves were warriors before they became soldiers. We were murderers first, last, and always!" —Jago Sevatarion
