For Chaos Heretics and Renegades, I was wondering what a decent army list would be for 400/500 pts. From my understanding, the FoC looks something like this:

HQ: 0-1
Elites: 0-1
Troops: 1-3
Fast Attack: 0-1
Heavy Suppport: 0-1

As Well As:
No +2 saves
No more than 2 wounds on model/unit
No armour values totaling over 34
Can not take Allies.

Thanks for any help!

You can't take renegades if it is no more than 2 wounds on a model as you HAVE to take an arch demagogue who has 3 wounds. If this restriction is taken away then lots of great things can happen.

You can overwhelm any opponent with a huge amount of dangerous units for the points limit. I would go so far as to say renegades are the best list at combat patrol level games.

Here's an example of a 400/500pt list:
Arch demagougue with cov of tzeentch
4 disciples with autocannon and granade launcher

3 spawn

3 spawn

Infantry platoon
10 renegades
2 flamers, krak granades

10 renegades
2 flamers, krak granades

10 renegades
2 flamers, krak granades

3 rapiers with militia training

400pts

+5 sentinals with HFs for 100pts in a 500pt game.
I've never used sentinals, but 5 with hf's in a 500pt game with combat patrol restrictions equipped with hf's should do wonders.

If you can't take the spawn, take 2 chimeras with hf's.

The rapiers will annihilate ANY armour at this points level. But just in case, there are the krak granades and st5 against rear armour attacks of the spawn. Plenty of anti troop in all the flamers, heavy flamers and spawn.

I came here hoping to share my knowledge of renegades. I was disappointed. That is a pretty exemplary list you have made there.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

Thank you :-). I find that renegades shine at low points levels, 1k or lower and they just become crazy for what they can fit into a list compared to anyone else.

Thanks for the great list! I just recently purchased IA 13 and was a tad lost on where to go with the arny for small engagments. I really appreciate it. My opponent read the list and he called hacks. Thanks again!
