There are some screens floating around the net about those campaign formations. Seen some linked on spikeybitz for example (the link leads to bols).

Why oh why must GW do such boneheaded moves? Nice Dataslate formations mixing GW and FW? zomg need!...but nooooooo.
Finally get my excuse to buy that Kharybdis. It still can't tank shock properly but dang, a str D hit is good enough for me... and then assault turn 1 with 20 zerkers?...droooool. Along comes GW and tells me I can't buy it.

Seriously....wtf?! What is it with GW making it impossible to actually buy their products?? I didn't even know the Voidshield existed before the rumours of the plasma destroyer started it was unavailable that fast.....

Finding Dataslates / formations etc. isn't that difficult. Obtaining them legally sure is harder.

That doesn't really change anything though. I mean it's not just this campaign. The same is true for the void shield and so on. Limited stuff that is normal stuff with exclusive bonus content is fine, but straight up limited stock that either has no equivalent short of making your own or gives you exclusive rules like with the house terryn or whatever it was called just rubs me the wrong way. They obviously sell...why not make money off of them and make us somewhat happy in the process. They could always just keep a limited stock.

Which would be fine it was like a limited edition voidshield, in addition to the normal one. Instead the only one we get, that is in the rules no less, is the one that was limited, and now we can't buy it anymore.

That's not cool, it's like the metro bonus difficulty, and that went over well with the crowd right?

Though I suppose that part that bothers me more here is that they finally mixed FW and GW, which is something I've been craving for years, and then they only do it here. Two new sprues and units and a whole campaing book with formations just seems too much to be exclusive. Usually it's like one or two minis that may or may not have rules that nobody really cares about.

To be fair, aside from the Fist of Khorne, none of the formations are likely to be useable in 'normal' games (I think the cheapest configuration for the Emperor's Anvil is nearly three and a half thousand points....) so they're not exactly must haves.

The Command Tanks are Warhammer World exclusives too. I guess they want to try and make warhammer world visits a 'big thing' - it makes more sense to have limited location stuff than having a limited run edition that's so limited it runs out before the saturday morning that it nominally goes on sale...

I don't think the Command Tanks are going to be Warhammer World exclusives for too long.

It was shown that the only thing unique about them is a single sprue with parts for both the Rhino Primaris and Land Raider Excelsior on the sprue. I could see it being an exorbitantly expensive sprue sold as a Direct Only item.

If some of the exclusives move to normal sales eventualy, than I guess that would be fine, but I don't see it.
