I am incredibly interested in all things 40k history. I am mainly interested in the Enslavers. I am wondering if they will ever come back? They took over most of the galaxy as the lexicanum quotes " Breaching the Immaterium in epidemic numbers, the Enslavers would take what was left of the galaxy whilst the C'tan retreated to ride out the storm." Also, they died of somewhat in the material realm, so I wonder if they "repopulated" in the warp and came out of the EOT to kill everything

Well, the Galaxy's about to end and everyone's going to die anyway, may as well have more people join the last dance of the human/eldar race.

Enslavers can still dominate Psykers in the 41st millennium. They just don't seem to (or at least have not be recorded as) dominating such a vast number of beings as occurred in the closing stages of the War in Heaven. There are however prophecies that such plagues can rise again (referring to galaxy sweeping ones) according to Creatures Anathema.
Creature Anathema (a Dark Heresy supplement) pages 88 and 89 says that they have material bodies and so can be killed with conventional weaponry. Despite this they "possibly one of the greatest threats for not only the Imperium but all living beings". They gain access to the Materium by targeting unprotected Psykers. "Three Enslavers form a dominating mental bond with the target" and over a period of days fall turn the Psyker into a living portal, allowing the Enslavers access to the Materium. They can mind control living creatures (not just Psykers) but I think Psykers are required to create more portals. They have a threat levle of Xenos Terminus and ot os saod that "those worlds which have seen Enslavers appear are now often Exterminatus" and that "only by catching the initial enslavement is there much hope for stopping an Enslaver Plague from claiming a world".
So yeah, in theory they could come back in force. As it stands they don't seem to be at a strange at which they can cripple vast areas of space. They could presumably reproduce in the Warp though how they do so is not elaborated on.

when the Enslavers first took hold, none of the Chaos powers existed, as they coalesced sometime in humanity's nascent period, typically it is stated during the human renaissance. The enslaver plague happened millions of years prior to that, so it is entirely possible that the ascendancy of chaos in the Warp wiped out the enslavers and thus aren't so much of a threat. They probably still exist but aren't in any numbers that could threaten the galaxy as a whole.

The Enslavers were defeated and retreated into the Warp. Where daemons make sure to not walk on the same side of the street, or preferrably not make eye contact at all. The Powers of Chaos have more influence and followers right now but they sure as hell don't want the Enslavers to start doing their thing again.

I think the difference between the likes of Enslavers and Daemons is that the Daemons are of the Warp whereas Enslavers are residents of the Warp, so I guess its possible they have little interaction unless they choose to do so. I don't think Enslavers would have access to the Realm of Chaos and the Places of the Gods like the Daemons do. I know the RoC and the Warp are one of the same but I think there is that separation between the two for non Daemony life forms. Enslavers and Daemons aren't the only denizen of the warp.
