I'm just thinking as a potential future idea for an army of imperial knights with grey nights.
HQ
Librarian (lvl 3)
Librarian (lvl 3)
TROOPS
Terminators 5: halberds and psycannons
Terminators 5: halberds and psycannons
Terminators 5
Allied detachment
2 knight paladins: one will be warlord
1 knight errant
Should come to around 1850 points I don't own the codecs but from what I've found this should work at 1850 but I could be wrong but what do you guys think?

So what do you think if this list turned up? Would you fancy playing it or would you avoid it at all cost and on the cheese scale how would it be rated?

First off that's pretty close for not having the Codexes. But it seems the units are more expensive than you accounted for. 135: Librarian: ML3 135: Librarian: ML3 195: Terminators: 1 Psycannon, 5 Halberds 195: Terminators: 1 Psycannon, 5 Halberds 165: Terminators 375: Knight Paladin 375: Knight Paladin 370: Knight Errant =1945 points And the trick with this list is that it is really for killing the enemy off of the table rather than scoring objectives. The minimum tax you'll have for your Grey Knights is a ML3 Librarian and a Terminator squad with a Psycannon and hammer (or 5 halberds in place of that hammer if you prefer) Nemesis Strike Force 135: Librarian: ML3 195: Terminators: Psycannon, Hammer That's 1520 points to go. If you take your 3 Imperial Knights, that will leave you with 400 points to spend. That will generally get you 2 Grey Knight units. Were you planning on your Librarian being your Warlord? Because with 3 Imperial Knights you have the option to make one of them the Warlord if you prefer. It just determines whether you call it a " Primary Imperial Knight Detachment" or an " Allied Imperial Knight Detachment". 375: Knight Paladin 375: Knight Paladin 370: Knight Errant Your list doesn't have any anti-air, so a pair of Stormravens in the Fast Attack slots would fill that void. 200: Stormraven: TL Lascannon, TL Multi-melta 200: Stormraven: TL Lascannon, TL Multi-melta Instead of taking two additional Terminator squads for objective grabbing, you may consider taking a pair of Dreadknights in your Heavy Support slots, as they have better mobility (especially without the second Librarian), better shooting, and better general survivability. 5: *Add a Storm Bolter to the Librarian 215: Dreadknight: Personal Teleporter, Heavy Incinerator, Heavy Psycannon 180: Dreadknight: Personal Teleporter, Heavy Incinerator If you want 3 extra units that can jump around between objectives you could take Interceptors in the Fast Attack slots. 5: * Add a Storm Bolter to the Librarian 260: Interceptors: +5 Interceptors, 2 Incinerators (Combat Squads) 135: Interceptors: Incinerator Or you could drop an Imperial Knight for a list like greytalon666 mentioned that would render enemy light weapons practically useless: Combined Arms Detachment 135: Librarian: ML3 195: Terminators: Hammer, Psycannon 190: Terminators: Meltabombs, Psycannon 195: Dreadknight: Teleporter, Heavy Psycannon 195: Dreadknight: Teleporter, Heavy Psycannon 195: Dreadknight: Teleporter, Heavy Psycannon Allied Imperial Knight Detachment 375: Knight Paladin 370: Knight Errant In answer to your question, yes, it is very cheesy. And no, I would not face this with my pure-Grey Knights army, because we don't have anything that can really face this and survive. Our best units are being used as support units in that army for even more powerful units. Just about anything we field outside of Psycannons and Hammers isn't really any threat to that list. Note that some other factions can spam Plasma in Drop Pods to terrorize your Imperial Knights and erase the Dreadknights, or they can flood the table with Fliers leaving your Dreadknights' snap-shots to try to take them down. Such factions would not have reservations against facing this list.

Thanks for the advice and if you had warning of such a list would you still feel the same? And there is now the upgrade for the knights to take a twin linked anti air gun mounted on the top of the knight so that's the anti air covered if all three take the upgrade but I'm not sure how much that upgrade is but I bet it's worth the points! What I am thinking of doing is making it a primary imperial knight detachment in grey knight colours supported by grey knights in some way or another. In objective games I have heard that knights can secure objectives but this may have changed in the new codex any ideas on this? I was thinking of lining the knights up as 1 choppy combat variant with 2 fire support platforms white the grey knights do mop up duties

I wasn't aware of an expansion for the Imperial Knights Codex. Or were you referring to the Forge World Knights? I don't keep up with those. The Imperial Knights Codex didn't originally have any anti air options.
If we agreed in advance, I'd probably beg a few models off of friends to field an Unbound Army of just Dreadknights, for the best odds of laying the maximum amount of firepower into your unshielded facings every turn, to potentially kill them before they table me.

Note: You only have two heavy support slots in a Nemesis Strike Force, thus, can't take 3 Dreadknights. Unless you add another squad of troops and make a seperate detachment, that is.

Dont discount strike squads and not using a NSF.
People hate on strike squads but they are great cheapish obj holders that can get where you need for mid to late obj holding

Wow! that was a major oversight. Sorry about that. Halfway through the list I changed my mind to a Combined Arms Detachment, but didn't fix the beginning. I went back and corrected that. Strike Squads aren't that cheap compared to the units other factions can use for the same role. How do you get them to objectives in the mid to late game? They get to Deep Strike in once but then without a Gate of Infinity or a Transport they're not going anywhere fast. I'll only consider them if I can stick them in my Firestorm Redoubt, so they can hide inside, hold the Comms Relay, keep the Quad Icarus Lascannons secured, AND have Objective Secured for an Objective I placed within 2" of the door so they can hold it from inside. But even then, IG Veterans could do the same and they're half the cost for twice the models. I've heard of some people spamming an entire army of just Strike Squads and Deep Striking all of them in so the enemy has nowhere to go with any of his units and the Strike Squads can get just about everything locked in close combat by turn 2. The strategy has its own weaknesses but mostly just isn't my style.
