I recently read a lot about this idea on Lexicanum. It is basically a cabal of Eldar from different walks, a farseer, a Shadowseer, A Corsair prince, and a Haemonculus, that are ostensibly working together to prevent some sort of great evil from awakening (and that is saying a lot when a haemonculus works against it). I’m wondering, has anything been said about what the Conclave is fighting against in the Jericho Reach. My theory is Necrons, like a massive dynasty that hasn’t been awakened yet, or possibly the home world of the Necrotyr and a bunch of sentient C’tan shards, or possibly a whole C’tan that slumbers because it was bound, but I dont know why they wouldn’t just come out and say that (apart from it being part of an RPG, so it allows the players to make their own menace), so it leads me to believe it isn’t. Does anyone else know anything about this?

The supplement, "The Outer Reaches" goes into significant detail about this, seeing as it is the only source you're going to find regarding the Conclave of Tears. What they're protecting against is the return of the Suhbekhar Dynasty, which has been active in the Outer Reaches for awhile now and is most likely responsible for the operation of the Dark Pattern, a series of catastrophic events long ago prophesied, possibly by the Ordo Chronos. It is believed that the Ordo Chronos is fighting a running battle through time across the Jericho Reach, trying to beat Cryptek Rahkoz at his own game, who it is believed is ultimately trying to resurrect his lord Phaeron Ahmontekh.
