So one of my friends is running an Eldar army and is planning on including a Wraithknight. That unit seems really powerful, almost overpowered in my opinion, and I don't see many weaknesses on it. What is the best way to counter a Wraithknight with Tyranids?

Ignore it and throw speedbumps at it if you have to. It will take wayyyyyy too many resources to try and actuallly kill it.

The best way to limit the damage it does is with cover saves. Tyrands can easily give their important creatures a 3+ Cover Save at least, and only the roll of a 6 on thee destroyer chart ignores cover. Use this to your advantage if he is using the Wraith Cannons.

If he is using the Sword, know that he can easily kill any of your TMC without breaking a sweat. I may be wrong on this, but would the Dimachaeron stand a chance? Of course, the Wraithknight has more movement, but assuming it got the charge it gets 7 Str 8 attacks which cause instant death on 4's at Ws 8 I6. It's be a rought one, but it seems possible to down a Wraithknight before it swings.

But the option you'll usually here is drown it in Gaunts. They are cheap and fearless and even with stomp he won't take out more then 9 a turn. Clog him up while your Flyrants do all the work as they mow through the Scat Bikers which Flyrants excell at killing.

I second drowning it in lots of Gaunts and letting your heavy hitters focus on their preferred targets. If the expendable swarms keep it from hitting something expensive, they've really made their points back.If you lack a similar alpha strike unit to destroy it with, it's because your codex is better suited to shutting down and outmaneuvering it.
