Subject: Non-Space Marine Daemon Princes?

So in the vast reaches of space the galaxy covers and the rich history that has occurred within its boundaries, chaos has a had a lot of time to tinker with the material realm. Within that time, some crazy things certainly have happened thanks to them, but the gods of yonder have always had a major disadvantage. The need of mortals to allow them to play in this vast playground. With that in mind, we know of one single species that have been manipulated and corrupted by them (outside of the fall of the eldar), that being humans. So humans are pretty much their sole servants, with all the other races either not being sensitive to the warp or doing their best to avoid the denizens within. Now it is certainly reasonable that very few humans have ever reached the point of ascension for obvious reasons, but of those few, do we have any reason to believe that they are NOT space marines? Because I would say no.
Now if we are to assume the daemon princes that are known on the table top not only need to be humans but are space marines, that does this mean we must assume that any non space marines are incapable of ascending to daemon hood, or at least none have have accomplished this yet?
So, to shorten my question up, has there been/can there be non-space marine daemon princes, or even non-human ones?

Yes, there have been non space marine daemon princes such as Doombreed and Be'lakor with the latter almost definitely not being human at all.

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.
