Is it Legal to take a Land Raider Achilles in a Grey Knight List? I was reading Imperial Armour vol. 2, and it stated that Grey Knights have access to all of the war machines of the Adeptus Astartes, but I just wanted to see what you guys thought.

I don't see why not if the IA doesn't give rules to what armies can use it.

Rules and fluff are two different things. Example: One of the old Space Marine Codices used the word 'retinue' in the fluff description of the Command Squad, yet GW were emphatic that the squad didn't have the in-game Retinue rule.

The *fluff* part of the Grey Knight section says they have it all, but the *rules* for the Achilles clearly spells out which four codices can use it, and Grey Knights are not one of them.

darn, I think I missed that, where does it say which codices can use it?

personally I'd have no problems with a GK player taking it. especially now. the only reason to exclude GKs from land raider varients was because of the whole psykic vehicle etc rules. with that being removed, I see no reason not to let them take all the LR varients too

Yeah, I think I'll just ask my oppent before hand if they mind me taking it. I've had a lot of people tell me the same BrianDavion.
