Am I correct in thinking that it is choose a weapon type resolve, choose another weapon type resolve? Does that mean if I have a unit/vehicle which can shoot at multiple targets that I can choose a weapon choose a target then resolve, then choose another weapon, or do I have to declare all the targets of shooting with my various weapons then resolve? thanks

I suggest re-reading the rules for shooting. It's very clear, that you must fire all weapons of the shooting unit at one single enemy unit.

There are, of course, exceptions like Splitfire, PotMS, etc.

In specifics to the super heavy vehicles - you declare all targets for all weapons, then resolve them one at a time.

With PotMS or similar the same thing applies - you still select all targets first...
