Subject: How big should a Daemon Prince and Blood Thirsted be?

Troubled By Non-Compliant Worlds

I'm looking at building a highly thematic Khorne Daemonkin army, and am in the process of trying to figure out how big my Daemon princes and Bloodthirsters should be.
The new bloodthirster models are nice, but I have little interest in spending over 200 bucks for two models that won't see the table every game.
How big do you think a Daemon Prince and Bloodthirster should each be respectively. Both model size and base size.
Thanks for the input!

I posted a pic of some of my models next to each other, including a prince or two:
Grumpy cat is just your standard deckbox for a collectible card game as reference becuase I happened to have it on hand lol.
As for the size, well, it's up to you really. Back in the day, doomrider wasn't any bigger than a marine on a bike.
To me personally, anywhere between the nurgle prince and that Forge World khorne prince are good sizes. For greater daemons I'd say anywhere from the new Bloodthirster to that huge Forge World one, but I'd reserve that size for "greater" greater daemons, like characters or things like Angron's bodyguards or something like that. Season for gods.
I can see nurgle being on the shorter side while Slaanesh would probably be the tallest. Khorne being the most buff but shorter than slaanesh, which would still look very imposing. And tzeentch being all spindely creepy n gak. (horror/daemon themed birds with long necks and that twitchy movement freak me out something fierce XD). Which I would apply for both princes and greater daemons, Although I would see princes as being more varied, at least on the table top. Can't exactly have morphing units lol.
So base sizes would be 60 mm base for princes and those oval ones for a greater daemon.

Thanks for that pretty awesome response, and +1 for grumpy cat sir!
I'm thinking that I may actually model my demon princes on 50mm bases, and my Bloodthirsters on to 60mm. The oval bases don't particularly appeal to me but I'll see.
I'm doing a Dark Wolf Daemonkin list, and would like my Daemon princes to be Werewolf lords, the models for which are currently based on 50mm bases.
Do you think anyone would really have an issue with this? There do not seem to be set rules.

Nah, totally cool. Though I suppose an elaborate base would help sell it just in case. You can just put them on whatever base seems appropriate. Just be careful with having a prince and a thirster. Your opponent should easily be able to tell what is what.
50 mm and 60 mm sounds awfully similar in size.

Makes sense. The models I'm looking at for the bloodthirster is 4.5 inches tall, big and bulky, the 60mm base is just what I think the feet will come down to.
I appreciate the input and the picture in particular, it was a lot of help in deciding what minis to order.

Both the Daemon Prince and the Greater Daemons, other than the new Bloodthirster on his derpy oval base, come with 60mm round bases.
