So im going to my first tournament ever and i just wanna clarify the tally rules for epidemus so i dont make a fool out of myself

So the rules state that as long as epidemus is ALIVE the tally will continue to grow stronger with each wound. Does this still apply when epidemus is in reserves ?
For me it is a yes but i just want to clarify if there is something im missing that would prevent this.

As far as I know, yes, he counts the tally in reserves

He is alive while in reserves.
