Stubborn Dark Angels Veteran Sergeant

Hi dakka, I'm looking into making a dreadnought army for 40k, using the SW Champions of Fenris codex.

However I don't care much for the SW appearance, and am looking at making the army using a Darkangel (specifically DW) theme. Most of the dreads are not an issue and simply need DA colours. Bjorn is easily portrayed by a FW chaplain dread.

The one issue I have is how to convert a replacement for the Great axe and shield dreadnoughts.

I would love to make some with a similar theme to DW knights, but I can't think of any suitably sized shields or maces.
Large swords might do the job too.

Failing this, a polearm of some kind would do the job, as in this picture: http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/5830/ironcladpainted.jpg

Can anyone recommend any pieces they would use for something like this?

A Dreadknight hammer would probably be suitable for the Axe. Not sure on the shield, perhaps you could mod something from plasticard and some DA icons, or a press mould of a DWK shield.
