Hey Gents,
I play Tau in a very competitive group. So, as the book aged, I started getting my butt handed to me. I'm not looking for sympathy, in early 6th, Tau were nasty. So, to enhance my army and deal with my biggest problem (invisible deathstars) I added a Canoptek Harvest, and I've been doing much better. It's a formation that explicitly lists: "no restrictions." (Normal restrictions might, for example, require certain prerequisite units or selection limits.
The way I read it, it's like taking any other formation, but if you take it within a Decurion, you obviously get an additional bonus.
It's a little late since it's already bought, built and painted, but a little voice in my head told me to make sure what I was doing was legal.
To be clear, I have no other Necron units, I have Tau Primary, with a Canoptek Harvest secondary. YMDC. Thanks!
