When I repaint my CSM this summer, I will want to paint it all as Word Bearers, so an Undivided look is what I'm going for but I will want to be able to field cult troops as well. How does one paint/ model CSM such that they are broadly affiliated with one legion, but also make it obvious that this a Khorne Berzerker, that is a this is a Plague marine, etc?

I went to Hershey Park in central PA this year, and I have to say I was more than a little disappointed. I fully expected the entire theme park to be make entirely of chocolate, but no. Here in America, we have "building codes," and some other nonsense about chocolate melting if don't store it someplace kept below room temperature.

well i imagine khorne blokes will appreciate blades, skulls, and liberal amounts of blood splatter. for nurgle, rust up their armour and give them respirators and manky skin, .. its fairly simple. the easiest way would just be to kitbash them with deity specific parts.

Remove all god-affiliated iconography (replace heads, shoulders/file off icons).
Like annes said, keep the effects of their particular god's influence.
You can also tone down the influence on them like instead of a full-blown rotting marine they just look like regular chaos marines with decaying armor. This could more hint toward the fact that they're not devout followers but still have their own personal inclinations.
