So I'm revamping my old Guard Army, and while I'm going through fixing old mistakes and/or adding some new terrain to my board and whatnot, I began to contemplate adding some movie/video game easter eggs amongst my stuff just to make for a funny discovery for someone or to add something that stands out a bit more as eye candy in contrast to the repetitive color scheme (8th Cadian) So to sum all of this up, does anyone here have any cool easter eggs amongst their stuff they don't mind sharing or, any cool ideas for easter eggs? I'm thinking of getting some of the Arachnids from Starship troopers and dicing them up, spreading them around a bunker, maybe a Cantina Band poster for a building or I don't know, Interested in hearing your guy's inputs on this.

I have tables worth of modern buildings from when I played All Things Zombies and Superfigs. The back entrances to some of them have "Pocket D" posters.
Pocket D is an extra dimensional night club from the City Of Heroes MMORPG. The only way to enter the night club was to know where the secret entrances were, and the secret entrances were always near the posters. About half my gaming group was City Of Heroes players, so they got a kick out of it.

I think a toy box with some Space Marine/Epic scale figures (6mm) sticking out would make a nice Easter egg. Maybe some smaller Battlefleet Gothic ships too, or, older scale figures painted up as statues.

Try to find a roughly in scale shopping trolley to dump somewhere on the battlefield. Over here you find dumped ones all over the place.

I actually created wanted posters that featured photos of people in our gaming group to put on the sides of buildings.

Especially if they were "wanted" posters.

Whenever I make a piece of terrain I add one or two tiny mushrooms in some discrete location on the terrain.
I see it as my Orks slowly invading.

I have a persistent graffiti artist who tags all my scenery somewhere subtle. Inside doors, behind dumpsters, under bases of figures, shop windows, etc.
I think he must have taken on an apprentice at some point, because some of the scenery is Victorian, and some is modern day...
Less if an Easter egg and more plain naughty, if you look very closely at my 40K Orks, one of them might be a Goblin Aid miniature from the fund raiser when Kev Adams was nearly killed...
As of yet the only GW staff to have noticed the figure immediately decided he hadn't when he found out what it was. Some good people out there.

Now that's actually pretty cool that he turned his head on that one. Most of the staffers I've experienced were d** ks, my friend had a DKoK army and one wouldn't let him use it in a local gaming league because it was forgeworld, we where both like wtf? It's his ONLY army. But I digress, back on topic:
@Dullspork I like the wanted posters, sounds funny. You happen to have any pictures of them? Also what did you use to make them, just printed them on paper or something else?

That's heinous. :(
In and around Nottingham, there's an unsurprising amount of love for the old putty pusher, and a surprising amount of leniency for folks using non standard figures. Considering how many sculptors rallied behind the cause and that even Brian Ansell was later involved in getting him back on his feet, I can understand the blind eye.
I'd not try and pass it off at a tourney, unless I genuinely forgot it was there, and I do own an equivalent grot to swap in.

That is priceless. I had a plan to stick a "TITANS FOR DUMMIES" book next to the Princeps of the Warhound I'm planning to get... (Maybe half a decade down the road...)

It was a toss up between 'What Titan?' (a spin on What Car? magazine) or the Hayne's manual. I felt the manual was more recognisable worldwide though.

Kev Adams, legendary sculptor who pretty much helped shape the visual idea of GWs green skins we have today, was attacked viciously in his own home in 2013. It left him severely injured and unable to work whilst recovering. There are photos out there of his injuries and they are NWS.
Over forty different sculptors from all avenues of the industry (Werner Klocke, Kev White, and many talented folk who wanted to help) made goblins to be cast up and sold to raise funds for his recovery.
These were sold under the name "Goblin Aid".
I have one hiding out in my Grots. So whilst non GW, very much in the spirit of mischief and fellowship.
On a brighter note, Kev is now sculpting for Warmonger miniatures, making tons and tons of fantastic "GreensKins", managed by Brian Ansell. It's fantastic, and I pick some up every time I see them at a show.
