OK so this may seem like a stupid question but just getting back I to the game.
Where are the rules for Mastercrafting weapons? It used to be a standard codex upgrade for Space Marines and now I am having trouble finding where it is and the points cost.

That's because it's not a thing. You can have abilities, like the Salamanders, to Mastercraft a weapon, but Joe Schmoe Ultramarine can't choose to do it with a purchasable upgrade. The best you can do is Digital Weapons, which is essentially the same on a CCW.

It used to be a thing back in 3rd. SMs (can't remember who else) could mastercraft any weapon for 15pts. Back then I seem to remember master-crafted gave ALL rerolls to hit not just 1.

Master crafted upgrade was dropped back in 5th edition (this was an upgrade in 4th). Salamanders are the only ones with such an upgrade option anymore and they get it for free.
You also can't buy squad sergeants auspex anymore and the signum link on devestator squads is now total rubbish.
Oh and at some point scouts kinda got drunk, stole a land speeder, and have the guys and west coast customs work on it for you. They put a heavy bolter inside your heavy bolter so you can dakka when you dakka.

Ghostglaives in the Eldar codex are also master-crafted. Seems to be pretty rare.

Legion still has mastercrafted as well on its HQs. Only rerolls one dice though. Almost too expensive unless you have a weird number of points left over which in a Legion list rarely happens, would rather have that extra marine in a support squad.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM! |

Slight correction, only our characters(justicars, captains, librarians, etc...) and Paladins can get Master Crafted. Our basic dudes can't.
