So,

A blood slaughterer has the Fury of Khorne rule

"when charging into an assault, it gains an additional +D3 attacks instead of the usual +1

In the Hellforged hunting pack, it also gains rage

"In a turn in which a model with this special rule charges into combat,it gains +2 attacks for charging, rather than +1"

Any ideas how to work out how many charging attacks you get if you have both rules?

You pick which one to use. They bother replace the +1 charge bonus and you can do that multiple times since after the first time you don't have +1A anymore.

HIWPI is the same as the last edition of SW were Ragnar gave units +d3 on the charge and blood claws had rage (with out being called rage) which was if the d3 was 1 then the claws got their +2 and if the roll was a 3 then they got the extra attack and obviously a 2 doesn't make a difference

Why is it not +2 +D3, that's how we have been playing it?

It's because they both replace the +1, they aren't a bonus on top of it.
You would first roll for fury of Khorne, if it's a 2 or 3 there isnt a +1 for the hellforged hunting pack rule to replace, but if you roll a 1 then you can use this rule to get +2 instead of the +1.
Basically roll a dice on a 1-4 you get +2, on a 5 or 6 you get +3.

If for example the hellforged hunting pack rule said that you gain an extra attack on top of the normal charge bonus then you could get d3+1 extra attacks, but I don't see any way of interpreting this where you could get an extra d3+2 as both of these rules are replacing the original +1.

Some interesting interpretations.

I can see the rules logic of : roll a d3, 1-4 you get 2 attacks, 5-6 you get 3.

I think just picking one will cause less rules wrangling in practice however.

Thanks
