Well, do you want to be competitive? If not, play whatever you want. Necrons are strong enough that you'll at least manage a .500 record in friendly play.
If you want to be competitive you better get in a Decurion. And not only that, but an MSU Decurion. Eldar D is on the way. Even if Wraithknights are banned at most GTs (likely), they still have Dscythes and artillery. So an MSU Decurion at 1850 would look something like:
Necrons 1850 Decurion MSU
Reclamation Legion (921)
Overlord
Warriors (10)
Warriors (10)
Immortals (5)
Tomb Blades (3): Shadowlooms
Tomb Blades (3): Shadowlooms
Tomb Blades (3): Shadowlooms
Flayed Ones (5)

Destroyer Cult (490)
Destroyer Lord: Warscythe
Destroyers (3)

Canoptek Harvest (219)

Scarabs (3)
Wraiths (3): Whip Coils

Necrons can fill a variety of roles, their primary ability is survival. Providing you are running a Decurion you'll always get a 4+ RP on top of any other saves you have.
In terms of their secondary function you can go for close combat and take a canoptek harvest, you can go for mid range fire power and pick up some stalkers, you can go for flyers and still be competitive. You really can't go wrong with any style, the army does well at either.

I think what you're trying to do here is play with a Decurion Detachment that includes a Destroyer Cult and Annihilation Nexus.
To do this in Battlescribe:
In the top menu, click '+' to add a new Roster and set your points like usual.
In the Add a force window:
In the 'Force type' dropdown, select Decurion Detachment (it's not alphabetical).
In the 'Catalogue' dropdown, select the 2015 Necron codex.
Now you should see all the parts of the Decurion already broken down for you, including all the formation you can add as 'Auxiliary' selections.
That should, I think, get you to what you're looking for. Your current list doesn't quite fit a Decurion since the Annihilation Barges and Triarch Stalker do not fit without adding more things to put them in a formation. But Battlescribe should help you with that.

No they only survive. They barely kill anything. I've been allying decurion with Tau fire cadre and the broadsides and riptide kill everything while the warriors make me never lose objectives... ever.
I also locked a grav star last game with a squad of warriors from the top of turn two until the end of the game.
I wouldn't even consider the destroyers. It's a badly made unit at the moment. I'd just spam warriors with decurion and throw ten in a night scythe and just beef up my units with the extra hundred

Destroyers are one of the top units in the game right now. Thrust moves, s6 ap3 heavy 2, with preferred enemy and their formation rules for the cult... Ouch! 2 wounds. The things are unkillable and murder marines!

I don't have any practice running Destroyers, but fun fact: if my maths is right, a single Destroyer is likely to win a shootout with up to 35 marines, even if you don't count its jump-shot-jump.
Also, candleman101, if you don't want to remove any units you already have, maybe you would like to start with adding a unit of Wraiths? They're one of the best now, and when you get to Decurion, they will join a Canoptek Harvest formation with Scarabs, and Scarabs seem to me not worth their points otherwise.

I guess if it can only kill two or three models a turn and costs the same as 3 it doesn't seem awesome to me. Maybe they are good I'll try them out next game

It indeed kills 1-2 (around 1.2) marines a turn. But another marine kills 0.2 marines a turn, and 0.04 Destroyers a turn .
That said, I didn't count anti-armour weapons used by the marines.
