Subject: Examples of Colchisian runes?

When I repaint my CSM this summer, I want to add more little details other than flayed skin and trophies everywhere. When I paint text on everything, I will want some symbols to stand out a little. Is there a cannon source for what colchisian runes look like, or even sets of glyphs used by chaos devotees somewhere?
|
I went to Hershey Park in central PA this year, and I have to say I was more than a little disappointed. I fully expected the entire theme park to be make entirely of chocolate, but no. Here in America, we have "building codes," and some other nonsense about chocolate melting if don't store it someplace kept below room temperature. |

In this sketch of Erebus, they look much like medieval alchemist symbols.

I notice my posts seem to bring threads to a screeching halt. Considering the content of most threads on dakka, you're welcome. |

The Word Bearers stuff by Forge World might be useful, the Contemptor Dreadnought especially.

Thanks for the responses! I love the chaos runes and I will look into medieval alchemy more now. I will also have to look for higher res pics of the WB FW stuff too, since they have a unique aesthetic even compared to other chaos warbands.

Take a look at the new Word Bearers transfer sheet from forge world, it has Colchisian runes on it.
