So, painting models is very time consuming and I’ve done some of my own. It just takes up time that I just do not have in my life. At this rate it will be years before I have any single army painted. I really want my models to be painted too. Anyways, does anyone know of any trustworthy, affordable, and good quality 40K model painting services?

Check out Frontlinegaming.org.
My brother had his Skorne done by them and they look fantastic for a very reasonable price.

Thanks for the advice. I'll consider all as of now. I'm also considering Blue Table Painting. Anyone able to vouch for them?

Their commission work is pretty average at best, try looking at their miniature close up, all kinds of flaws, but good enough for table top if that's what you're looking for. My advice, if you want your miniatures to look good, spend the money and commission at master class or one lower than that, anything below you can do it yourself with practice over time.
Bias opinion: go with frontline gaming, I am 1/24 of their contracted painters. I always do my best as if the models are my own, which is around level 3, one below master class. My services includes cleaning mold lines, pinning when needed, magnetize weapon options and tack glue areas for mobility, drilling gun barrels, painting without airbrush, detailing such as eyes, eye brows, tattoos, war paint etc; light weathering, decals, basing.

Here's an unbiased opinion, as I am not a commission painter. Absolutely do not use Blue Table Painting, there are threads here detailing exactly why, but in short, their quality is utterly terrible and their service is pretty bad - watch it unfold here -> http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/618082.page
(tenebre ended up settling with BTP, but man what a journey)
tenebre also got Frontline to fix what BTP mangled (which I didn't realise until stalking his posts) -> http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/624649.page
There is also a good video here on choosing a commission painting service -> http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/646660.page#7795442
There is also a good example of why BTP are terrible here -> http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/622435.page <- the op is ridiculously supportive of them in this thread, who knows why.

Don't. They don't provide the service or quality their prices should dictate.

Look up Scatter Shot painting on Facebook.
chris does solid work. makes his own decals. has FW connections and GW is familiar with his work. hes US based, former Veteran and has various painters who paint for him across the country so his turn around time can be pretty decent at times.

Thanks a lot for the input on Blue Table Painting everyone. Will not be using them for sure now. That could of been a serious mistake, so thank you. Looks like I am moving towards Frontline Gaming. Still considering my options too. Automatically Appended Next Post: I'm looking at the price sheet for Frontline Gaming. For example, $20 listed for level 3 painting on a 25mm basic infantry. Is this per model, or per unit?

That $20 will be per model
There is also another alternative, depending on how you feel about it -> http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/648746.page

In regards to recommendation of Scattershot Painting
Here's my story
I am new to the 30k hobby. I have come to enjoy painting and the game but did not believe I could do justice to centerpiece models like Primarchs or special characters or units. Based on the his industry reputation, I engaged Chris Burch at Scattershot painting for commissions on Corax in May of 2016 and Angron/Kharn and Red Butchers in July of 2016. Again based on his industry reputation, I paid Chris in full up front and we agreed on when he would complete the work.
As of the time I am writing this, I have only received Corax (without the base). I have paid Chris Burch over $700 for work yet to be completed and have received nothing from him. He has not communicated with me unless I query him and he has missed multiple deadlines that he himself chose.
At this point, I do not believe I will ever see my money or completed models. I have received nothing from ScattershotPainting beyond excuses and broken promises.
I believe Chris is a competent commission painter. He has not, however, treated me or the money I have sent him with respect. He clearly has time to open a hobby shop and seems to have prioritized that over completing work for which he has already been paid.
I understand Chris is going through a tough time personally and professionally. I have offered to be flexible and allow him to choose when and how he completes my commission or refunds my money. He has missed each and every deadline he chose. I can only conclude he lacks credibility and integrity and the personal issues he cites are excuses to cover for his other business issues. In short, I do not believe he is trustworthy. At this point, I simply want a refund or my commission completed to the standard I know Chris is capable of.
I HAVE SAVED EVERY WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE I HAVE HAD WITH CHRIS. I WILL PROVIDE THE TOTALITY OF OUR COMMUNICATIONS UPON REQUEST IF YOU WANT EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT MY ASSERTION. PM me and I will provide it.
I am fortunate that I have the means to get my commissions done by other more reliable sources. I am sure, however, that many other people won't be able to pay Scattershot Painting and, after never seeing their money again, just have another commission painter take care of their commission. I would urge you to Know this:
Know that if you give money to Chris Burch or Scattershot painting, you should not expect to ever see your money again or the commission you paid for.
Thanks for reading,

Thanks for the post, but it may be better suited to a new post --- this thread is over a year and a half old.
