Is it just me, or does that new adeptus mechanicus formation look amazing?

Min 2 troops in skitarii, take an HQ and some robots and kata photon destroyers from cult mech, and bring a knight.

Am I understanding that all upgrades in this formation are free? Weapon upgrades as add ins for the knight, arc rifles free, plasma calivers, free, upgrades on cut mech units, free. Man 90 pt dune crawlers with an icarus array seems amazing.

Wondering what you guys think? How would you get your vanguard around? Big units? Maybe big ranger units. If only we had transports...

We'll, for one thing it's not the min skiitari detachment. It's the BATTLE maniple, which is exactly one of each unit. It's the basic cult mech detachment though, meaning minimum that formation is 1300ish points.

That said, no way this gak will not be banned. I certainly wouldn't play against it.

I'm just waiting for the formation that makes you win automatically if you mail your life's savings to GW. You get a little sticker that causes you to always win games of 40k.

Quite easy, I would refuse to play against such an unitresting and utterly mindless list. Outside of that I fail to see why anyone would find enjoyment in playing such a list

I don't think it's as faceroll as you guys are making it out to be.

It forces you to take some fragile units with no transport. Think about the blood angel formation that gives you free combi-weapons. That isn't dismantling the tourney scene.

Also, at a tourney, if they haven't banned the decurion detachment, I doubt this one is getting banned.

Everyone remember that time people complained about skitarii getting something good, and refused to play it, but it's ridiculous to refuse to play eldar players period cause reasons?

It actually would have much more unit variety than any tournament army I have seen in the past many years- I think the OP grossly misquoted the required units.
